1.02 trade back

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I have 1.02. Team with 1.05 wants to move up to 1.02. Would 1.05 + 2019 1st (probably mid) be a good ask for 1.02?

If your looking to begin adding wrs....sure, but I'd try to see which proven wr 1.2 may get you before making the move.

If you're REALLY low on Guice, Chubb, etc then it's not terrible but man, I think you can do better. Right now it doesn't seem like a big jump maybe, to go down from a Guice to a Penny or from a Guice to Chubb or from Michel to R. Jones.

But in 10 days, when 1-2 of those guys falls hard in the draft, you'll be wishing you weren't outside of the 1.04 bubble.

It is reasonable but 5 is after my 2nd tier break so personally I would need more to move back from 2.

you need to be comfortable with a guy at 5, because there is no guarantee that next years pick will be a mid pick. I saw a team take zeke number one and win it the next year.

I agree with this - if you are going to move it get a proven player and the closer to the draft the more valuable it becomes

Its solid value in terms of pure draft capital, but its not nearly as attractive when you actually put players to draft picks. The other owner is likely moving up for Guice, so there is really no reason to make this trade now. Just draft Guice and wait and see how the board falls. If someone you REALLY like falls to 1.05, then evaluate at that time.

I tried my 1.6, 19 1st, 2.10 for my leagues 1.2 and even 1.3 and got shot down on both, so in my opinion the value there is definitely the 1.2 side

Think you can do better, I wouldn't move 1.02 for 1.05 and a 2019 1st.

I personally think there's a big gap right now between Guice and the rest of the RBs after him. In terms of value, it's probably fair, but not sure I'd do it if I owned the 1.02.

if your intent is wr via draft....you need to make the move. in a week, there's a good chance that your 1.2=1.5 in that owners eyes.... the draft typically expands tiers, not shorten them. id try for a 2nd added....but ultimately if you fall to 5, your landing your top wr or 1 of the top 4 rb prospects (which is in demand)..... if "your guys" are still on the board...you can move back again.

i had 1.2 in a massive rebuild and have gradually moved it back to 1.7 with the intent of perhaps drafting freeman or moving back a few more if i think i can get him... all while adding tyrod taylor, tyler eiffert, and a future 1st through a couple deals....maybe not the best of moves going from 2 to 7, but i believe in freeman and noone can accuse me of tanking away the season. "value" tells us that you may be able to get more....but time is running short on the 1.2 imo, in a few days....owners are going to look at 1.2-1.6 (or so) in the same tier...and you wont have this trade for a future 1st in what looks to be a solid wr class.

this is all assuming that your looking wr this year. if you have a rb that you want, just hold/draft and hope the value skyrockets. i think the real play here is to see what wr you can get for the pick if your looking wr.

I think the first responders are missing the point of your team being loaded @ RB so getting a RB @ 1.05 isn't that big of a concern. Getting a WR / TE Is a much greater concern.

Personally if I were you I'd want a proven top TE and 2019 #1 for WR help PLUS a decent late first rd pick or two 2nd rd picks this year to add one of the young QB & possibly WR / TE help.

Edit: I was slower than the sloth8u but thinking along the same lines. Target a WR or TE from this year and keep trading back while acquiring better positioning in later rds or more assets. I'd be looking at QB too with yours getting long in the tooth. Be creative while trading back. Try moving say the 1.05 and your 4th rd for the 1.10 and 2.10 or some such thing.

Ideally you could get a WR late first this year, TE or QB with extra late 2nd and WR in next year first rd for the 1.02.

(Ridley/Sutton/DJ pick one), (Hurst,Goedert,Gesicki) or ( Lamar/J. Allen/ Darnold/Baker/Rosen)
WR in 2019

for

Guice (Who wouldn't start on your team anyway)

If you need WR & TE help, do not draft one at 1.05. That's a terrible idea. This is not the draft for that.

Instead, trade the 1.02 for ARob+, A. Cooper+, AJG, T. Hill, Cooks+, etc

Above post makes sense if you can get two starters.. TE and WR (top tier talent only though)

However, whether you're strong at RB or not, you always want to draft the best value then trade for needs later. I suggest waiting until you're on the clock and another owner or even the 1.05 owner will most likely pay more. Perhaps you can get a starter who will help your squad (TE as mentioned if possible), the 1.05 and their 1st next year. That's what I'd at least try for if giving up the 1.02

There's also the long shot possibility too that the 1.01 owner becomes willing to move back on draft day. If perhaps Barkley goes to CLE and say Guice/Chubb/Michel go to NYG/DEN (for example) or a perceived better situation that the 1.01 owner favors, they may offer you a chance to move up where they would be reluctant to offer it to another team where they could miss their guy.. long shot I remind you, but I think you would kick yourself if trading the 1.02 before draft day unless the deal were overwhelming in your favor

Much like buying property it's all location, location, location. Zeke landed in the perfect spot for a rb. What if Gruice or Chubb land in that "perfect" spot? I'd wait until next week, see where all of the rb's land and then look to make a move if they land in a less than favorable position.
