Cole vs Goodwin Updated

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Cole vs Goodwin Updated

Postby myndflyte » Wed Apr 18, 2018 1:13 pm

UPDATE: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=158660&p=1443023#p1443023

The Cole owner is trying to deal for Goodwin but I think he's asking way too much.

Give: Goodwin + 2.11
Get: Cole

Both really came on at the end of the season but Goodwin had Jimmy GQ throwing to him while Cole has Bortles on a run 1st offense. People will throw around Cole's college dominator score but that's coming from KY Wesleyan not to mention the Jags still have Lee, Moncrief, and Dede. The 9ers will have Garcon coming back and even if they draft a WR I think Jimmy will be a much superior QB than Bortles that Goodwin will actually have some value.

This guy is off his rocker right? Personally I think the 2.11 for Cole is fair but there's no way he'll take that.

I prefer Cole but not sure the 2.11 is needed.

Not very high on Goodwin, but I don't think Cole is worth much more than the 2.11 by himself.

He came back with this offer:

Give: Pryor + 2.11 + 4.02
Get: Cole

With Pryor and the 4.02 being pretty much shots in the dark, this seems to be pretty fair, right?

Not bad, I don't really value Pryor much and the 4.02 is as close to worthless as it gets. I still bet you can remove Pryor or the 4.02 and get it done if you want Cole.

Ew. Cole = 2.11. He's a UDFA WR who flashed in a few games where JAX's other WRs were hurt. He's still in a low-volume passing game that will spread the targets around. I have no idea why everyone loves Cole. Pryor is a decent lottery ticket. I'd just pass since your trade partner seems to overvalue Cole.

Cole was third in receiving yards for rookie WRs. It's not hard to see him finishing with 120 targets if Lee goes down or Westbrook/Moncrief disappoint.
