What balanced out this (not offered yet) Zeke trade?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What balanced out this (not offered yet) Zeke trade?

Postby jordanzs » Tue Apr 17, 2018 5:04 pm

12 league with 1PPR and .5 points per first down:

Zeke

or

D. Henry
Josh Gordon
1.2 rookie pick

Is the D.Henry/Gordon/1.2 side superior? Would Zeke still be the better side? Or would you need to add something like an early 2nd to the Zeke side? Or fair as-is?

I'm honestly curious to know. With .5 points per first down, Zeke racked them up last year......

Zeke and it's not particularly close for me, but I'm not a fan of Henry's situation or Gordon.

Not even close. 3 dimes for a dollar.
If you want a stud, you to offer up a stud or at least 2 player in the "elite tier" which is what I call the tier below stud level. Henry, Gordon, and Guice do not qualify in either category.
PSA - Haggling is NOT the same as negotiating.

Zeke and it's not even remotely close. Most Zeke owners (myself included) would decline with no counter because it's so low. Here's why...

Henry - stuck in a timeshare with Lewis. 2-down back.
Gordon - flashed a bit in 2017, but super risky and in a crowded WR group. Plus Cleveland...
1.2 - Lottery ticket. High risk. Don't even know landing spots yet.

Vs.

Zeke - steady, high floor, high ceiling, 3-down back, locked in with a decent o-line, and arguably the #1 RB in dynasty.

I don't think it's that terrible. Maybe if Gordon was swapped with something better, it'll be much closer. I do expect Henry to get plenty of 1st downs next year and Guice himself could be a pretty good player to own with those settings.

Agreed. I'm surprised it's so one sided. If I was a Zeke owner, I would probably pass. But I would have to think about it for a minute. It's close, but not quite enough

Zeke. I'd need another piece added or Gordon swapped out.

Much closer if that pick was 1.01. I have faith in Henry and Gordon, though.

I actually think this is pretty even.

Zeke is valued at the 1.01, but more since he is proven.....Henry is 1.03, but a tad shy now because of Dion.....I've seen in other threads that people would trade the 1.01 for the 1.02 and 1.03....that's basically what this is with Gordon making up the diff for Henry being slightly under the 1.03 and Zeke above the 1.01

It’s a decent offer but I’m strongly in the Zeke camp. Gordon is one offense away from never playing again. Henry is seemingly destined to be a committee guy. 1.02 is nice....... but we’re talking Zeke here. Zeke is an absolute monster

Good feedback here!

I currently own Zeke. And Kamara, Fournette, Hilton, ARob, Theilen, Amari, and more.

We have an owner who took over an abandoned team & he's seems like a great leaguemate & trade partner to work with. He as expressed lots of interest in Zeke.

I was looking over his roster, and thinking these players were the minimum that I would take to consider a trade, if anything was offered. But I'm willing to be that if I offer something, it would be snap-accepted.

I do like Henry & I do like Gordon.

And I was thinking that if I sold Zeke for these pieces, I would be shorting myself on stud weekly points, although my team would have even more depth for now & the future.

I'll hold off on offering for now, but good to know that I'm not out of line :)

Zeke should be valued over the 1.01. Henry is more 1.05ish. Gordon is to risky to gamble on with Henry. I would keep Zeke pretty easily.
