Julio for Howard

Postby zoster80 » Tue Apr 17, 2018 3:40 pm

This is for Zo Nasty below.

I've looking for an RB to pair with Gurley and I don't trust Ajayi. I won the league last year so I don't think I'll find a solution at 1.12.

I got a text from someone offering Howard for Julio. I know some people are down on him in this board, especially since this is a PPR league, but I can only start a max of three WRs at time so I constantly benching either Julio, Allen or Juju, because I usually alway start Hopkins and Evans. This is good problem to have.

Is this most Julio can fetch these days? Should I look for a better option or should I ask them to add to their side of the deal. He's young and had a few back to back RB1 seasons, so should I be jumping all over this especially with the team I have?

Julio is worth much more than Howard. I've been arguing Julio vs Allen all afternoon, but Howard isn't in the same conversation as either of those guys, and I actually like Howard. If that's the best you can get for Julio, try to move Evans instead or sell high on Juju. I think most would value Juju closer to Howard than they would Julio...even though I doubt your trade partner would accept that.

I'm high on Howard and wouldn't even consider moving Julio for him.

Despite his age, I agree you should be getting a mid 1st with Howard minimum.

I'm going to try steer him towards Juju. What would I need to add to Juju to get this done?

He's supposedly looking to rebuild, which makes asking Julio weird, what else would entice him. He's thinking Julio straight up is a fair deal so he thinks highly of Howard, specifically saying that he' coming off two RB1 years, going into his prime and the coach just said he's going to be the starter, blah blah blah. I looked and with our settings Juju scored 198 to Howards 203. From what I see there's not much difference and I'm thinking Juju could be the main guy there over there when Brown starts hitting around 32 years old.

I think a 2nd would get it done, but I don't own one. Does a guy like Gallman, Mcguire or Barber added to Juju help?

He approached you offering his Howard and then proceeded to pump up Howard's value by rattling off stats and some coachspeak, so he probably doesn't believe in his heart everything he's saying to you. I think countering with JuJu-plus is fine while offering him the same stat-driven arguments, tho I'm not sure what that plus should be. Maybe a pick swap of your 1.12 for his second along with the players?

So JuJu+1.12 for Howard+his second round pick.
Does a guy like Gallman, Mcguire or Barber added to Juju help?
No, I don't see how those guys add anything.
