Tevin coleman worth 2018 1st round

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Tevin coleman worth 2018 1st round

Postby Krissi24 » Tue Apr 17, 2018 2:12 pm

Is Tevin Coleman worth a 2018 1st round?? I have 1.06, but think that is to much to pay.

1.06 is far too much, you'd likely be able to get him for a mid 2nd during the season. I wouldn't pay a first simply due to him taking up a roster spot for all season while you wait for the payoff (next FA/offseason). He's worth an early 2nd at most.

1.06 is too much. Late 1st at most.

1.06 is exactly where I rank him. What RB drafted at 1.06 is going to be better than Coleman? He's shown he can be very good and will hopefully have a starting job next year. Anyone drafted at 1.06 is going to be a pure lottery ticket and might even end up in a worse situation than Coleman.

I agree with Goddard. I have him around the 1.06-1.07

Coleman's situation next year is just as up in the air as the guy at 1.06.

I know we sometimes get carried away with age, but no consideration to the point that Coleman will be 26 by the time he gets a crack at going to a team where he can be the starter? I mean Bell and DJ would be the consensus 1.1/1.2 except for the fact that they're 26, yet people seem to think of Coleman as young even though he will be the same age by the time he potentially gets his turn.

I would not pay more than an early 2nd. He's still a time share back, and there is talk of Atlanta resigning him, which would keep him a time share back.

He'll be the same age as McKinnon when he hit FA, and that guy sure hasn't had much of a value dent from age

McKinnon also has yet to prove that he can be the guy, just because his value seems on the rise doesn’t mean it should be...

Yep, but McKinnon landed in an ideal situation. We don't know what Coleman's will be. He might resign behind Atlanta, playing 2nd fiddle to Freeman. He might sign with the Rams. Who knows? Completely different situations to McKinnon at the moment.

You don't think McKinnon's value would be a good bit higher if he were 22 rather than 26? I certainly think it would.

And like was said above, that was pretty much a best case scenario for situation, whereas we have no idea what Coleman's will be.

If I were selling I'd want a mid to early first. Buying I would pay late first or early second.

I see Coleman in the 1.10-1.12 range. So close to have more work and so far...He stays a co-op back behind Freeman. A top 25 barely top 20. Paying 1.05,1.06,1.07 ? No. As much taking his chance on Penny or Freeman.

Early 2nd is about where I value him.
My PPR dynasties (QB/RB/WR/TE/FL):

Under construction...just noticed teams I had shown were very different than where they are now (lots of trading last 12 months). LOL

Not any first in my book. Agree with others, probably an early 2nd and might need to wait another year if you are a truther.
