Whats the missing piece to compete in 2018

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Whats the missing piece to compete in 2018

Postby jcass1991 » Tue Apr 17, 2018 11:46 am

Dynasty 12 team, ppr and own 1.07, 2.07, 3.07 in this rookie draft. Feel like my team can compete but feel like I need to add another piece. Maybe send 2 guys for a higher end wr1 or rb. Team in my sig. 1 qb, 2-4 rb 3-5 wr, 1-3 te, k, Def. In 2020 we will have superflex so thinking bpa at 1.07 rb or wr and qb at 2.07 if top ones are still on the board.

You can probably use another RB, but if you're going to switch to superflex in a couple of years, try to get some QBs at a cheaper price now.

I'd be stocking up on QBs now, and I'd look to try to get another RB to build some depth.

Compete probably, contend not so sure. If going to SF in 2020 could use an extra QB but also need depth at RB and this is a good year for those. Not sure you have 2 starting RB after the draft. Good luck.

I think you are another RB away, Foreman might be able to fill that spot if he beats out Miller, and a TE. Piling on the comments about transitioning to SF, I would try and trade down from 1.07 and get more picks and take several QBs in this big class. They'll be coming into their own just as you switch over to SF.

I’d look into another TE...Bennett retired, Eifert is one hit away from it and Hooper is....Well Hooper...

Thanks for all the advice and will look into some of the recommendations. Maybe moving stills and a pick or woods and a pick will get me a key piece moving forward.

In good shape I'd say. Although 2.07 might be a nice spot to land a TE. One of them on your team has retired!

Honestly, that team's not a world beater. Definitely start getting qbs! Especially, try to use your picks to get them from this draft. They'll b worth a ton next year.

i would sell off hyde and collins while they are seen as starting rbs (hyde more worried about than collins but both are sells for me) and i would try to be mediocre/bad this year and be ok with losing games and getting a high draft pick next year. try to sell those players for 1sts if possible from bad teams (they are bad they might make another bad call and trade a projected early first for a rb)

i say this because you have a decent team but not a great team, and its worse for you to try to make a run and come up middle of the pack than it is for you to finish dead last and have a great chance to be a good team in 2019

also ya use later picks on qb or trade for some if the opportunity is there...also i would try to trade for one of njoku, howard maybe AFTER this season because an owner will be salty when one of em doesnt hit this season and they will be ready to bail on em for an early 2nd or so i bet
