TE Delanie vs Trey Burton?

12 team 20 roster dynasty PPR

Picked up Burton off waivers late last season hoping for the trade that later came sending him to Bears.

Been offered Walker straight up but feel Burton is younger and seems to have a better nose for the end zone even as a backup in Philly. Worried that Walker only has a few years left.

Also been sent an offer of the 3.12 for Burton which would force me to draft a TE next month.

Team is in a rebuild model having finished 4th to 9th over the past three years.

Agree on the Burton hold or ???

Walker didn't play much in the beginning of his career in SF, so he might more something left in his tank than more people think. But burton was brought into Chicago to fill the kelce role, i wouldn't move him.

Since you're in rebuild mode, I'd probably lean very narrowly towards keeping Burton. I still think Walker is worth more, but isn't going to help your team and probably won't get you much more than Burton in a trade if you tried to flip him. In almost any other scenario, I'd take Walker pretty easily, but in this case, I can see keeping Burton and hoping he breaks out and becomes a serviceable TE.

I feel pretty good about Walker as a TE1 for a couple more years, so I would keep him. Burton could be the new Delanie (signing from behind a top young TE and proving to also be a top TE), but he just as likely could be another Fleener.

In a rebuild, keep Burton. I would pass on the 3.12 offer as well.

Tbh im hoping for a falloff or something so Jonnu Smith can take over, been holding him for a while.

That rarely happens as quickly as we want at TE. The fantasy community has been waiting for Witten's backup to overtake him since Marty Bennett was that guy.

If you're rebuilding, keep Burton. I have seen zero interest from anyone in paying up for Walker despite his production. I would sell Burton for 2.06 or better though, as I think the hype > actual value at this point, but I'd hold for anything less than that.
