This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

jeffery offer

Postby vixen » Tue Mar 27, 2018 4:23 pm

got this offer for jeffery in a superflex ppr league

my team is terrible, so i am in full rebuild
QBs: Jimmy G, Cousins, Bradford
RBs: Fournette, Ingram, Booker, Blount, McKissic
WRs: Jeffery, Doctson, Agholor, John Brown, Stills, Perriman, Torrey, Chesson/Conley, Chad Hansen, Kearse, Gentry
TEs: Cook, Kroft, Fiedorowicz
1.04, 1.07, 2.04, 2.05, 3.04, 3.08, 4.04, 5.04

so as you can see, it is not going to be difficult to make cuts
anyway, this is the trade offered

i give: Jeffery
i get: perine, treadwell and trey burton

not sure how i feel about perine (i didn't get a chance to watch him last season), i don't have much faith in treadwell and i suppose i could use another TE...this owner does not own any 2018 picks, the earliest pick he owns in 2019 is 4th round...and his other lower end players don't interest me either...i could ask for his 2020 2nd round pick
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills

DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler

That's an easy pass, Jeffery should be even better next year with wentz and hes got a large contract so hes tied to him for a while.

thanks all...right now, nobody wants him...i just want to get younger...
as you can see, my team is not competitive and he does not do me any favors...but i will hold until her has a couple solid games....or if a different WR gets hurt and that team is competitive and needs a starter..

thanks everyone...

That is the strategy I'd use! Jeffrey is not too old and should be solid for another 3-4 years. As for Perine, the redskins have already come out and said they need to upgrade at RB so I suspect they will be a team drafting one in the second or third round.

Say no to the 3 rejects...that’s an insulting offer. Your teams not that bad. Just need some WRs.

Perine is naval lint...

I’m probably one of the lowest on alshon but I think this is a bad offer.

Even for a rebuilding team, that's a little light. Jeffrey is a legit upside WR2 with the potential to be a rock solid WR1. He's now had one year with Wentz, and is a massive deep threat. Wentz's arm strength and ability to throw down field should give Jeffrey a comfortable floor. If possible, I would target one of the first round picks this year, and pacakge JEffrey with one of your other players to try to get value for those players. So maybe something like Jeffrey+Blound/McKissic/Perriman for a 1.05-1.07+a third?
QB: Carson Wentz, Mitchell Trubisky, Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold

TE: Trey Burton, OJ Howard, Austin Sefarian-Jenkings,
Def: Detroit and Los Angeles Rams
Kicker: Jake Elliot
2019: 2 1sts 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th
2020: 3z firsts, 2nd, 3rd, 4th,
2021: 1st, 2nd, 3rd
2022: 1 st, 2 seconds, 3rd, 4th

I think Jeffery should be able to get the 1.05 by himself. I'd put him just above Baldwin and Theilen for current player value.

I have jeffery and fielded calls but they are usually low 2nd and 3rd rounders. So ill keep him and just take the solid points he puts up rather than sell short

This has to be the worst offer I've ever seen for Alshon. Laugh. Hang up. Don't talk trade with this owner for a bit.

You should consider this

Alshon was playing hurt all season and still managed to be the WR 13 in standard, and WR 20 in ppr, over the regular fantasy season (weeks 1-16).

NTM If you look at Alshon's back half of the season, given time to factor in acclimatization to the playbook/build rapport with Wentz, Alshon was the WR10 in standard, and the WR 15 in PPR from weeks 8-16.

And they are offering you

1) A dead fish in Perine that won't be more than a backup while he's in Wash - likely for his career.
2) Treadwell, who looks like a bust, and has caught a whole 21 balls for 215 yards in 2 YEARS - NTM he has two great WRs ahead of him on the depth chart.
3) A backup TE, that MIGHT or MIGHT NOT, become a thing in Chicago. Lots of hype, but it's just hype at this point.

This is the equivalent of, "hey man I'll trade you two nickels and a dime, for a dollar"....gtfoh

I know you already said you decided to pass, but please don't take offers even remotely close to that. Your team needs some help, but you don't want to make it even worse by moving a good player for a bunch of guys that will end up on the waiver wire.
