I look at it as this is the time to sell Barkley his value will never be higher if people are already talking about him over Hopkins I mean he can only go down from here.. People say he is the real deal but there is always that chance of a bust since he wasn't a great runner in college just a great receiving back.

Yeah I traded out of the 1.1 in one league to obtain Jimmy G and other picks. And I'm keeping the 1.1 in another league cause I only need a solid RB for that lineup. The Barkley Hype is real. I agree with your post above... if somebody is willing to give up Gurley or Kamara + a top10 YOUNGER WR ... think Michael Thomas even though Brees might be done soon, or Mike Evans who is bound to have a better year, or Davante Adams who is now the wr1 in GB... (not counting Julio and AJG in consideration here due to his current lineup) I'd probably take it.

I know your post really said much more than this, but I keep seeing people bring up Brees might be done soon when talking about Michael Thomas. Yes, Brees will be done sooner than later. He did just sign a 2 year deal and I fully expect him to see that contract out in NO as the starter through 2018 and 2019 seasons. Conveniently enough for MT, he will begin year 3 of his 4 year rookie deal this season. Meaning he too, is under contract through 2018 and 2019. What I'm getting at is we should not be valuing (or devaluing) MT based on Brees, because MT will be a free agent after 2019. The same year Brees presumably retires. Food for thought.

As an MT owner in one league I am definitely rooting for Brees to stick around and appreciate your points. My issue is there's no contingency plan in New Orleans behind Brees. You're right about the MT contract situation, however I'm not fully convinced MT is who he is without Brees. Great points from your end though. My team rostering MT likes you lol.

So I was just offered DeAndre Hopkins for my 1.01 & Sterling Shepard in a 32 team .5 PPR 2x player copies league (Depth is like a 16 team league) Leaning towards Hopkins here, but I do really need good RBs on this roster.. Not sure if I can trust Jones/Mack to be RB2s..

What do you guys think?

i think i would make this trade tho and get hopkins but are you talking about ronald jones or aaron jones as youre rb2? if its ronald jones i would feel more comfortable about making this deal if it is aaron jones i would be worried but address youre rb2 with a separate move and still get hopkins barkleys(1.01) value is at an all time high
