Leveon Bell Trade

Postby Bill Bromanowski » Mon Mar 26, 2018 8:21 am

Thoughts on this trade that went through? Gave Bell and Fitzgerald, received Cooks and Ertz. PPR with 1.5 PPR for tight ends, start QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 Flex, K, D.

Roster before trade:

QB: Ryan, Alex Smith, Trubisky
RB: Bell, Mckinnon, Duke, Gallman, McGuire
WR: Dez, Juju, Gordon, Fitzgerald, John Ross
TE: Graham, Kroft
K: Matt Bryant
D: Chicago
No picks in first three rounds (rookies + free agents after teams cut from 20 to 16 ahead of draft)

I think you sold really short on Bell, even with the TE premium.

I think you should’ve been able to get an additional piece on top. And you shouldn’t have had to add Fitz

I like the Bell side but you are getting younger and if for some reason Bell is not with Pitt next year, his value will take a big hit.

Definitely Bell side but if you are worried about his situation I get selling him, but should have asked for more or held out for a better offer.

Figured sold a little low, but had been shopping him and couldn't get a better deal, and was worried about him hitting a wall in a year or two or retiring then, and trying to make the team younger with a few older pieces. Will be starting Graham, Ertz and then 3 of Dez, Juju, Gordon and Cooks, so no real need for Fitz and hadn't been able to move him for even a 2nd.

For the future it's better to be patient. People will pay more when Bell is on the field producing then they will right now in the off-season.

Someone will always want a player like Bell in-season when he putting up 20+ points on the regular. If you can't get what you are looking for, wait till the fall.

Oh man that’s bad. I mean even if you take away that you lost out on a good amount of value, there’s still the fact you already had Jimmy Graham, and now you are pretty barren at RB. It’s not like the trade even plugged a hole, if anything it caused one. Sorry but I hate that
