Mike Williams value

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Based on what, exactly ? He’s done nothing to prove even if his draft stock. Rivers is aging. Allen is young and coming off of a healthy season. Hunter is due for a break out. At best, he’s what, behind Kennan, Melvin and Henry? That’s not first round value to me. Not to mention, WRs with a season ending back injury are not the safest investments.

Mid 2nd. Metrics suggest he's a bust. Can't seem to stay healthy, either. I'd take any first if I was selling.

I'm not a big fan of him and probably wouldn't pay a 1st, but I definitely wouldn't say he's "at best" behind Melvin and Henry. The Chargers don't seem that thrilled with Gordon and are considering bringing in other pieces to spell him. And HH is almost as speculative as Williams at this point. His career high is what, 65 targets?

If Williams ends up being an actual good player (far from a guarantee) he'll have no problem eclipsing Gordon and Henry in targets. And lest we forget after just one healthy year, Keenan is no guarantee to stay on the field.

So, "at best" if he's actually good he's San Diego's #2 option with a guy that's picked up a big injury in 3 of his 5 years being the only guy ahead of him. He clearly has a long ways to go in actually proving that he's good, not to mention staying healthy himself, but the upside is there if he can put it together.

Hasn't this kid had multiple back injuries? We should be more concerned with his availability than Keenan's.

Well said, and great points. I’m not high on Melvin either, but I am on HH, especially for an aging Brees.

Offered mid 2nds for him in multiple leagues ... all rejected. No way I offer a 1st. Would rather try to buy Tyrell low.

Most arguments people are making can be made for Davis. Williams was a top 6 pick with more top prospects.

Incorrect. Davis does not have another WR to compete with and was clearly drafted d that teams WR1. Combine a young Mariota, a great running game and a new OC and he has every bit the potential of returning WR1 value as early as next year.

Overrated prospect, serious injury and crowded offense. Mid 2nd at best.

I agree. His rookie year was a disaster from the start. He didn't get a chance to build rapport with Rivers, nor stay healthy. Certainly could be a knock if the injury issues continue, but I don't believe there is any reason to claim a bust or sell for a 3R lol. Nobody, including the Chargers, know what he's worth.
