I would stay put because the MiKinnon hype is ridiculously out of control. There shouldn’t even be any hype around him. If I planned on trying to trade for McKinnon, I’d give nothing more that a 3rd. The Niners are drafting a RB high. They overpaid for a 3rd down back. If you can get an obscene amount for McKinnon I would do it now before it’s too late and you get stuck with him.

I picked up all the quarterbacks at end of season because I knew they were going to disperse.

Follow the money... I believe he is the 4th highest paid RB. When teams commit that much $, they usually give them work. There are always other positions to fill.

I understand to some degree given it is Shanahan's offense, but the asking price on this guy is crazy. If I owned him, I'd be selling in a heart beat if I could find an owner willing to buy.

It's worth pointIng out the rosters are only 15 deep. OP, are the 5 players cut by each team draftable? If so, who were the top 3 rookies drafted last year, and with what picks were they taken?

Yeah, McKinnon sucks... He was only the PPR RB8 after Cook went down splitting carries with Murray. Being on the better side of a committee with a team that paid him a lot playing for a coach known for RB production is clearly going to be even worse than those numbers...

Yes the money says a lot and it says that San Francisco made a very bad deal. He will get some work but he’s not at the value that most everyone is treating him at currently. I could see a lot of McKinnon buyers having regret after the draft. I don’t see the Devonte Freeman comparisons at all and think it’s ridiculous to think that McKinnon will produce similar to that.

I’m dumb. Read that wrong. He was indeed RB9 from weeks 5-16. Goes to show you how easy it is to “lie” with statistics... “Come on, McKinnon wasn’t THAT good. Sell him to me cheap. He finished as RB19 over the back half of the year..”. VERSUS “He is already an RB1 headed to a better situation. He was RB9 from weeks 5-16...”

What are your league settings? In standard PPR from weeks 8-16, he was RB19.

Personally I think he will have a solid year where he puts up back end RB2 numbers for the season. Is it possible he finishes as an RB1? Sure. CMC did it this year in a similar situation based mostly on receiving value. McKinnon could potentially do the same thing if everything breaks right for him in SF. Do I think its likely or probable? No. I haven’t seen anything on the football field that would indicate McKinnon is capable of being an RB1 long term. He could do it for a year given a great situation, but I’m not spending a high first on him.
