McKinnon Hype

Postby stigskol » Tue Mar 20, 2018 9:00 am

My team is in my signature.
I have to drop 5 so I will be purging my quarterbacks and Meredith.

Obviously I'm a vikings fan.

I really want McKinnon but wondering his value with this forum.

I offered the 2.10 and 2.12 and a 4th and got shot down.

Would you:
A) go back with a 2.05, 2.10, and a 2.12 for him
B) offer Lewis and a 2.05
C) Stay put.

From what I understand this is a strong running back class and there should be a bunch of skat backs in the second round plus I would like to get my hands on Gesiki since Ebron sucks a wang.

Thanks in advance.

As a McKinnon owner, I would decline those offers very fast. I need at least a mid 1st to move him.

As a McKinnon owner I'd rather take a chance on his athleticism under Shanahan's guidance than hoping I strike gold with a few second-round picks. Even tho his to-date production doesn't necessarily warrant this, it would take at least a mid first for me to consider moving him.

Yeah I would decline all of those offers quickly and I hold no shares of his. I would need to be in the mid/early first to even entertain the idea.

I understand to some degree given it is Shanahan's offense, but the asking price on this guy is crazy. If I owned him, I'd be selling in a heart beat if I could find an owner willing to buy.

I was offered a early second and a late second towards the end of the season and turned that down with hopes this would happen. It would probably take the 1.3 to get him off me. But my team is a contender this year so there’s that

Sounds like staying put is your best option.

These type of deals where you try and offer a few quarters and nickels for a player currently worth dollars never work.

I would strongly consider moving him for value at the 1.05 or 1.06 level. If I was offered a mid-first and a 2nd - the deal would happen fast. It makes no sense to sell a guy with a definite role on one of the most RB friendly Head Coaches' offense for lottery tickets.

Anyone who owns him will want a top 5 pick whether you agree with that valuation or not.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Any offer not including a first would get shot down by me. I'd sell for a mid-first. Or a late one "plus". He was a great flex last year in a time share (playing matchups). Loving him more this year as a lead.

I would do A or B pretty quickly for McKinnon if you can get that done.

There was a guy on these forums who got RoJo + a 2nd round devy pick for him, his value is sky high right now. I'm not accepting anything less than a 1st at this point since there are people who are willing to pay that.

I would stay put because the MiKinnon hype is ridiculously out of control. There shouldn’t even be any hype around him. If I planned on trying to trade for McKinnon, I’d give nothing more that a 3rd. The Niners are drafting a RB high. They overpaid for a 3rd down back. If you can get an obscene amount for McKinnon I would do it now before it’s too late and you get stuck with him.
