Woods or 1.12

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Woods or 1.12

Postby nabright » Sun Mar 18, 2018 5:29 am

I just made a deal to send Robert Woods for the 1.12 rookie pick for team 3 in signature. I traded my 1st during the startup draft, so I was looking to get back into the first. Since this is a super flex and ppc league, I think that pick could land a really good player for me.

What do you think about the deal?
Team 1
12tm, Super-flex, 1PPR, start QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/FLEX/OP
QB: ARod, Wilson, Goff, Winston, Taysom Hill
RB: Cook, Mack, Barber, L. Murray, Ito Smith, Bibbs
WR: ARob, Kupp, Miller(Chi), Agholar, Doctson, Grant, Gordon Z. Jones, Quinn(Wsh), Wilson(Mia)
TE: Reed, Ebron, Andrews, V. Davis, Gates, Herndon
Team 2
12tm, Super-flex, 1PPR, start QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE/FLEX/FLEX/OP
QB: Luck, Tanny, Goff
RB: Henry, Drake
WR: Nuk, ARob, Cooper, JuJu, Shepard, Hurns, Lockett, Stewart, Kupp
TE: Doyle, Allen, Clay
Team 3
14tm Super-flex, 1.5PPR and 1.5pts per 10yds for TEs, 1PPR for WRs, .5ppr and .25ppc for RBs. start QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE/FLEX/FLEX/OP
QB: Luck, Goff, Jones
RB: Henry, Ekeler, Howard, Hines, Kelley, McKinnon, Samuels
WR: Cooks, Ridley, Ross, Callaway, Moncreif, MWilliams, Enunwa, Kupp, Golladay, Kearse, Reynolds
TE: Howard, Hurst

I'm not a big Woods fan, so I would have taken that deal also. Your WR's are a bit thin, hopefully Mike Williams makes a jump this year.

I like Woods current situation and would stay with him. Its not a bad deal either way. You may be able to trade that pick on draft day for a better wr than Woods.

1.12 for me with those settings. Wouldn't be surprised to see 5 QBs in the top 11 picks, minimum 4, plus 5 RBs, which means you're comparing Woods to the top WRs of the class, which i think have more upside. People are pretty enthusiastic off of Woods first solid season, but while he is solid and in a nice offense, I don't think he's anything special. WR3 for me. I would roll the dice for more upside. It is close though and i can see the other side if you believe in Woods holding down his market share in that offense. I don't think though, as a Kupp/Woods lead WR combo isn't something i think McVay will hang onto long, and could change as soon as bringing competition via the draft.

Pretty close. Woods in a regular ppr, but I can see the argument for the 1.12 in a SF where a QB might still be there, or 4-5 go before so that's more like the 1.7 in a non SF and maybe a quality RB left with the carry points
Team 1- 10 team ppr, 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flx, 1D, 1K
2022: 1-8
Finishes: 6th, 6th, 1st, 5th, 6th, 9th
QB: Lamar Jackson, Purdy
RB: Bijan, Dobbins, Achane, Charbonnet, Algier, McBride, waiver trash
WR: JSN, QJ, Addison, Dotson, Skyy Moore, Jameson Williams, Hyatt, T Dell, Boutte, Skowronek, Quez Watkins, Greg Dortch, waiver trash
TE: Hockenson, F Monroe, Juwan, Musgrave
D/K: Patriots, Vikings, Saints, Dicker

picks-
2024- 1,1,1,1,2,2,2,3,3,4,5,5
2025 1,1,1,2,3,4,5

team 2- 12 team SF, .5PPR, .5TE boost, 1QB, 1SF, 2 RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex
2022: 8-1
Finishes: 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd :wall:
QB: Ljax, GenoD Jones, Minshew, Dobbs
RB: CMC, Stevenson, A Jones, Chubb, A Mattison, D cook, Perine, Mckinnon,
WR:Tyreek, Diggs, C Kupp, D Adams, Keenan Allen, Lockett, Gallup, A Lazard, Hodgins

You did ok. If I was selling, I'd probably want a little more, but not sure I'd pay more if I was buying.

This guy has a lot of 1sts. I tried to get the 1.11 and he would not give that pick for him. Like others have said I’m hoping a few QBs go ahead of me and I can land one of the top WRs or a RB I like that makes a fall. If I had waited on this deal, the picks value would have just gone up.

Hard to let go of Woods but the 1.12 in a superflex is a nice pick. Still, you probably could have gotten more.

Some people really love them some WR3's...I really do have a hard time understanding how the value is what it is. Do people really think McVay and company are sitting there thinking 'man, i really feel good with our WR's'? Kupp and Woods are solid, but they aren't lead dogs and competition will be brought on board, if not this year then next. What do people think Woods ceiling is? I really don't see it being anything special. The QB depth of this class really adds a lot to the draft class. You can legit add 5 players deeper, making the 1.12 a mid-1st round value in a standard league, of which I'd be shocked if people would actually choose Woods over.

I think it’s a good deal since it’s superflex. You will get either a rookie QB or a top RB/WR, personally, I would rather have that over Woods in a superflex.
