Congrats. That's a bargain

If you're worried about needing multiple pieces for a rebuild, you can turn around and re-sell Hopkins for significantly more 4 weeks into the season once he's putting up numbers and people are low on their 1st round picks again

The 1.15 isn't really your average 1st, so I see that as equivalent to a 2nd. The other two firsts are a year away and you haven't given us any idea of where they might end up. Since we don't know, I'm just going to assume mid (which in this case would be around 1.08). To me, that's not even close to Hopkins' value, even if you're adding Kupp.
It's 64 teams, so 1.15 is really more like a 1.04.

Folks trying to buy for dirt cheap prices. He was an RB2 for a couple years behind a bad o-line and is still only 25.

I think it's fair value in what's basically a 16-team league. Folks in this thread seem to be underestimating the value of depth.

Imo you either get guys like Hopkins or you trade DJ. No sense having DJ to waste away on your roster if you are going to rebuild.

Wow, just wow. I own Nuk in 3 leagues and would love to own him in my other 7, and I would if his owner's would accept that return. Not a single one would take that and neither would I.

You wouldn't take Kupp, Njoku, 1.05, and an early '19 first in a 16-team TE premium league?

No I would not. Kupp is a nice player, but I don't see him ever as a wr1. Njoku has a ton of raw talent, but I think he is at least two years away from fantasy relevance, if he gets there. Not sure how you can guarantee "an early '19 1st," because I have seen teams that were awfuk on paper make the playoffs and actually win championships. On to the 1.4-1.5. That is the best piece he'd be getting back. It would be difficult for me to part with Hopkins if the best piece I am getting back is a mid 1st.

Because the way his league is set up says that even if he places top-3 in his division (of 16 teams), his latest pick he has is 1.06.

Looking at his team with the updated roster, do you see his team being a top-3 contender in his division? Even with Hopkins I see him having a hard time competing. That pick might end up being 1.01 next year.

Where would that pick have to end up to be worth it to part with Hopkins? Say it ends up at 1.3? So, 1.4, 1.5, Kupp and Njoku? No, I wouldn't take that deal and it would be an easy reject for me. Hell, I'm not sure I take that deal if you guarantee the pick next year is 1.1. Most Nuk owner's I know would have to think long and hard if they were getting the 1.1 this year instead of the 1.4-1.5. Now if that te was Gronk, Kelce, Ertz or Engram, than we can talk.

Bump.

-1.04 was used to select Nick Chubb in 2018
-The 2019 first ended up being 1.01 at the end of 2018
-The 1.01 was traded for Jimmy Garoppolo and a 2021 3rd

End of the day:

Nuk

for

Jimmy Garoppolo, Nick Chubb, David Njoku, Cooper Kupp, 2021 3rd, Jeremy Hill
