Eifert+IDP for Yeldon+Hurns+IDP

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Eifert+IDP for Yeldon+Hurns+IDP

Postby saw061600 » Tue Mar 06, 2018 12:10 pm

Not a huge trade but thought I'd post for valuations.
Gave: Eifert+Jones (DB GB) + Reddick (LB ARZ)
Received: Yeldon+Hurns+Kendricks (LB PHI)

In the end, felt LB and DB are replaceable and would rather take a shot on Yeldon and Hurns, even if it's next year, than trust Eifert's back to make it through a season.

I just traded away Eifert and Mathieu for 2019 2nd and 7th rounders, so I get the apprehension on Eifert.
I'd have to see your other WRs to know for sure, but on the surface that seems like a pretty fair trade I think. Jones and Reddick are young, talented IDP guys with upside. Eifert may claim to be healthy but chances are he will never be the same - back surgeries are no joke.
12 team IDP league, 0.5 PPR, 1.6 per tackle, 4 per sack/INT:

QB: Big Ben, Alex Smith, Sam Darnold
RB: Guice, Sony Michel, Drake, Aaron Jones, Marlon Mack, Crowell, Ito Smith, Chris Warren III
WR: Thielen, Fitz, Agholor, Crabtree, Shepard, Zay Jones, G. Allison, Tre'Quan Smith, Trey Quinn, Justin Watson, Richie James
TE: Rudolph, Jonnu Smith, Trey Burton, Chris Herndon, Tyler Kroft

DT: Kenny Clark, Davon Godchaux
DE: Aaron Donald, Ngakoue, Sheard
LB: Martinez, Van Noy, Bradham, Nick Vigil, SDH, Rashaan Evans, Fred Warner, LJ Fort, Kiser, Jayon Brown, Thomas Davis
S: Eric Berry, Geathers, J. Tartt, Tracy Walker, Jordan Whitehead, Adrian Phillips, Kazee
CB: Donte Jackson

I'm not very high on Eifert and wouldn't target him on my team, but I still think his upside when healthy is better than having guys like Yeldon and Hurns sitting on your bench.

If I didn't have Olsen, Ebron, Jonnu, and Vance still I'd probably have kept Eifert, back worries and all. Couldn't get even a 2nd for him.

I wouldn't blame you for making this trade, I just don't know how much Yeldon and Hurns help your team though and they'll probably have just as little trade value during the season as Eifert does now. If anything, Eifert might come back healthy and have a good game or two, and you might be able to flip him for a 2nd then. I don't see that from the other guys. I guess when I'm trading guys like this who have very little value at the moment, I prefer the one with the higher upside.
