Cameron Meredith & Josh Reynolds or DeVante Parker?
Cameron Meredith & Josh Reynolds or DeVante Parker?
Was just offered Cameron Meredith & Josh Reynolds for DeVante Parker which I turned down. Not a bad offer I guess, just not sure if Meredith is the real deal especially after the injury & Reynolds is buried behind Woods, Kupp & Watkins if he stays with the Rams. Parker has still not reached his potential but I'm hoping he finally does this year. What do you think? Team is in the signature. Thanks.

Parker = 2.05, Meredith = 3.02, Reynolds = 3.08. I'd keep Parker even though I'm not super high on him.

Parker
But i see if you rebuild this might help. Parker has best upside but get more points wirh the other 2 overall.
I would try to move parker for picks or hold and hope for improvements

Just wow on the Meredith hate! I would trade Parker and Reynolds to get Meredith alone.

Meredith = 3.02, wow, bit surprised there. I too Would take Meredith here. Like his talent, his QB, and new head ball coach over Parker. Reynolds is icing on the cake for me.

I like Meredith a lot for a rebound but I have Parker worth a early to mid 1st , Meredith I would put early 2nd atm but he could be a lot better than that value

Re: Cameron Meredith & Josh Reynolds or DeVante Parker?
Value is on the Parker side, but wouldn't surprise me if Meredith outscores him this year. If I was getting Parker, I'd make the deal only to flip him after Landry goes elsewhere and the hype goes out of control.
Re: Cameron Meredith & Josh Reynolds or DeVante Parker?
I'm very low on Parker, but the value is on the Parker side
I agree that the best strategy is to buy Parker now, and then sell once Landry signs elsewhere, and then laugh when Dolphins bring in someone else as their WR1 or Parker just continues to disappoint

Re: Cameron Meredith & Josh Reynolds or DeVante Parker?
Wow, definitely think Meredith is worth more than 3.02 and Parker is worth waaaaaay less than an early-mid 1st. Love Parker's talent but he's been an annual underachiever and super inconsistent with his effort.

So many people still on the Parker hype train. I don't get it.

Re: Cameron Meredith & Josh Reynolds or DeVante Parker?
Alright I don't want to derail this thread too much, but I've seen a ton of love for Meredith on these forums, and I just don't see it. Here's why I value him so low:
- QB convert to WR who was starting to develop but is now set back due to the lost year due to the ACL injury
- A lot of his 2016 production came against IND and pre-rebuild JAX, at the time two of the worst secondaries
- 2016 stats are also padded from a Hail Mary TD against TB and a trick play passing TD vs MIN
All of his 2016 "breakout" success was with Jay Cutler / Matt Barkley / Brian Hoyer and John Fox. Of course I think CHI's offense will be better under Mitch Trubisky and Matt Nagy, but we have yet to see what kind of role Meredith will earn. It's very possible CHI will sign a FA like Allen Robinson or Sammy Watkins to be the no. 1 WR. Even if they don't, while I have very little hope for Kevin White, he will still be fighting Meredith for playing time if healthy. The offense won't be exactly like KC's due to lacking a playmaker like Tyreek Hill, but I still see Meredith as more of the "Chris Conley" role as the no. 2 or no. 3 rather than a true no. 1 WR. I think he's got potential in fantasy, but he's still in the range of high-upside lottery ticket.

Cam Meredith in 2016 (14 games): 96 targets, 66 Rec, 888 yards (13.4 ave), 4 TDs.WhatWouldDitkaDo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 9:10 am Alright I don't want to derail this thread too much, but I've seen a ton of love for Meredith on these forums, and I just don't see it. Here's why I value him so low:

He did have big games vs IND and JAC (weeks 5-6, 26.6 and 22.3 PPR points) but finished out the year vs DET (6 for 72, 1 TD), GB (9 for 104), WAS (9 for 135, 1 TD), and MIN (4 for 61, and the passing TD you mention). Fantasy points (PPR) for the last 4 weeks were 19.2, 19.4, 28.5, and 16.18.
Parker in 2017 (13 games): 96 targets, 57 Rec, 670 yards (11.8 ave), 1 Rec TD.
Parker in 2016 (15 games): 89 targets, 56 Rec, 744 yards (13.3 ave), 4 Rec TDs.
Parker has the draft pedigree but is 3 years removed from that and hasn't had a single season what Meredith put up in his only year as a starter. The ACL happened in preseason last year so he should be 100% to start training camp this year. I am really looking forward to see what he could do if he does play a full year.
We know exactly what Parker's situation will look like in 2018 (assuming Landry does stay in town) and that is 2016. Same HC, same QB.
