Peyton Barber sell high?

What do you guys think i should do with Peyton Barber? As of now he would be the starter but im hearing the bucs might draft a guy in the first few rounds or sign a veteran starter? This is a 20 team league by the way. Where would his value be pick wise knowing that?

I don't think he carries enough value to "sell high" but he's probably as high as he'll get. I'd be surprised if you could get more than a mid/late 3rd.

Sell for the best pick you can get. Do it and do it quick! His value is at the peak of his career right now.

Yeah ive been kinda looking into that situation and now i feel like my best option is to trade him for the best pick i could get and hopefully strike gold. I still feel like barber will have some role with tampa bay next year no matter what so i feel like in a 20 team league, any range of picks from #20 to #30 would be where his value lays. Is that where you guys think?

If the pick is 25th or later I think I'd rather have the Barber dart throw than the rookie dart throw.

I expect them to draft someone but that is already built into his value. They may as well have already drafted an early round RB because people are treating it with 100% certainty. So in that sense his value could still rise if they don't pick a RB in the first 3 rounds while you really have nothing to lose if they do because people were already assuming it to be true anyway.

Even in the likely scenario where they do draft a RB, it would be far from the first time where everyone was excited about an incoming rookie only for the boring vet that everyone overlooked to end up winning the job.

Thats what i was thinking once they cut doug martin. I will probably shoot for a higher pick but ill see what teams will offer for barber's services in picks or for a young wide out with upside.

It is certainly within the realm of possibilities that this is another CJ Anderson situation all over again - UDFA RB that the team likes enough that they dont draft too many RBs over the next couple of years and those that they do - just have not done much ...

I own him in two leagues and plan on holding. He admittedly came out before he was ready (needed the paycheck for his family) and the Bucs like him. Even if they draft someone I would not give him up for less than a second and.no one in their right mind would pay that.

I would sell if you could get any 2nd, hold if all you get offered is a 3rd as I think he has a better chance of being fantasy relevant than a 3rd round rookie pick

I sold Barber for the 2.10 last week which I felt was very fair. I have Cook/Ingram/D Henry/Ajayi/Miller/Foreman as backs so didn't need the depth rb. Would rather have the swing at a rookie with a higher ceiling even if that swing will most likely be a miss anyways. Did catch Juju from the 2.10 last year though

My other rbs are Melvin Gordon, Tevin Coleman, Chris Carson and Joe Williams paired up with Barber in a 20 team league so i feel like barber is expendable. I would need to draft a tight end in the draft with that pick so im targeting anywhere from #15 through #30

With that list, I would hold barber. He's your RB3 as I would certainly take him over Chris Carson and Joe Williams

20 team league so depth matters more, I think Barber has at a minimum worked himself into a solid, not #1, share of a committee and I think you'd enjoy that out of an RB3 in a 20 team league

This TE class sucks by all accounts. Go buy someone like Rudolph or even Jack Doyle if you're in need at that position
