This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Post trade opinions

Postby Wranglers » Fri Feb 23, 2018 7:36 pm

So i made 2 trades this offseason and curious how yall think i fared. Roster is first team on my sig.
Trade 1- 1.04 and J landry for 1.05 and T kelce.
Trade 2- 1.05 and 2.01 for A cooper.

My team is relatively young,
(Also, i traded last years 1.14 for a teams 2018 first and second, which he used on M Lynch(we dont have any pickups allowed during season) and he finished last so i got 1.01 and 2.01 so kinda playing with house money with 2.01)
In too many leagues to post rosters, but they almost all have ajb

I am not a Landry guy but for me the 2nd one you made sways it quite heavily in your favor. So I like flipping Landry for Cooper to also move down one draft spot and kick in the 2.01 to also add Kelce.

not a cooper fan, but i suppose it was a good trade...
kelce v landry in a non TE start league....i assume kelce had a better season...i like kelce and landry, i would probably have waited until after the NFL draft to move down a spot, but that doesn't really matter since it seems you would have traded your own pick to get cooper anyway
good luck this season, it seems like a competetive league

i will add that in a 16 team league, i may have kept that early 1st and drafted a QB...or a RB (since that seems to be your weak position..
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
Watson, Brady, Mills
Ekeler, Hunt, Carson/Penny, DForeman, Mitchell, CPat, Kyren, Ford, KHarris
Cooper, sutton, Chase, Shepard, Atwell, Schwartz, Wan'Dale, Austin III
Gesicki, Engram, Hooper, Woods
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Stafford
DH JT, Ekeler, Kylin Hill, Herbert, KHarris, Chandler
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Godwin, McLaurin, Callaway, DPJ, Robby Anderson, Schwartz, Pierce, Wan'Dale, Doubs
Kelce, Andrews, Jacob Harris

Trade 1 seems fair to me, and comes down to preference and team need. Trade 2 I think you won solidly; 1.05 isn't usually a "premium" pick, so moving down to 2.01 while picking up Cooper is a great move. I know we're all focused on his inexplicable down year, but he's still the same age as Corey Davis with two 1k+ seasons under his belt.

Don’t think he moved down to 2.1 and got cooper, he gave it in addition to 1.5 to get cooper.

Still a solid move.

In a 0TE league, I think you lost the first trade slightly. The second trade is okay value-wise, but I think you need more help at RB than anywhere else, and those picks could’ve helped with that. Overall, considering the 0TE setting and your roster, I would’ve rather kept Landry, 1.04 and 2.01. It’s not like you got fleeced though. You can always flip some of your WR/TE depth for an RB down the road.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

landry likely wouldnt be starting for him weekly, while kelce easily does.

I realize you will probably add Barkley to that squad, so RB looks great. After Gronk decides what he is going to do closer to the season, I would look to sell him for value. With Kelce and Engram (and no TE req), you might want to cash out if he maintains his value.
