Fair Trade for Davante Adams?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Alshon alone is not enough. He's good but Adams is in a different tier imo.

You'd need to add some pieces. Here's what I see as some more realistic trades that might get it done:

Alshon + 1st + 2nd
Alshon + Mckinnon + 2nd
Alshon + Ingram
Alshon + Shepard + 2nd or 3rd
Alshon + Njoku + 2nd or 3rd

These would get you closer to an actual deal. It likely won't be enough for some Adams owners, but it might get it done, depending on how other owners view those secondary options.

*picks are for 2019 draft

I'd agree with the mid first difference.. Something in the 1.05-1.08 range.

ADP is imperfect put Adams is at 16 overall and Alshon is at 35 in the most recent data. Plus Alshon is 3 years older and much more injury prone.

Mid 1st sounds about right. Probably still wouldn't be enough for me at least.

TBH I wouldn't do a deal like this if I was you. This is wrong time to buy Adams, his value is quite high, and your team doesn't have the depth required to make a deal like this. You'd be better off just keeping Alshon.

If you want to make a Jeffery for Adams deal, wait until the 2018 season when the two are putting up similar numbers. Right now you'd be selling low and buying high.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

What hurts Alshon is the surgery he just had. There's a chance he could miss the beginning of next season. When they're both healthy, I think their values are not far off from each other, but right now, Adams' value is much higher.

When healthy both WR's are equal in my opinion. The fact that Jeffrey just had surgery hurts his value making you having to overpay for him now. I agree that if you wait till both are putting up similar stats then it might be a 1 for 1 deal. How patient are you, is the question?

News about Alshon’s injury almost makes me value him more. I always labeled as soft. Playing through the injury and looking decent/good + a new contract joining him to Wentz for a few years paints him in a new light.

For reference, I just sold Adams for Kelce+1.10 for Team 2 in sig. I thought that was pretty fair. Kelce and Alshon are similarly priced, so I think it’s a good comparison. Hope that helps
