Adams. I do think Arob has a higher ceiling though.

Wouldn't even consider Arob if Adams was on the board

Adams easily.

ARob had one good season then tore his ACL...

Funny how quickly the NFL changes. After their first two seasons, at the end of 2015, Arob was being valued as a top 10 dynasty asset, Adams was seen as a complete bust.

Tough choice...should I pick the WR with an expanding role, that plays on a passing team with the best QB in the league? Or should I pick the WR returning from injury, on a defensive/running team with one of the worst QBs in the league...

I'll pick Adams every time.

Yeah that was a long time ago in fantasy football. At that same time Amari Cooper was a top 5 dynasty asset and Dez, Alshon, and Watkins were all top 15.

Kind of ironic that despite the narrative that WRs are less risky and have more longevity, all of the top 15 overall players that were RBs are worth even more now than they were then, while a majority of the WRs that were top 15 overall players have lost substantial value.

I'll be the dissenter and take Robinson. Adams is already playing to his ceiling and it's not as high as some would have you believe it is. Robinson may have the lower floor but the upside is much higher.

An interesting (I guess we'll call it a non-stat) stat. I was scrolling through Adams red zone receptions, and did you know that he was taken down at the 1 yrd line twice, once against Atlanta, and once against Cincy. In both these instances, it wasn't Adams that got the short TD after being taken down at the one. So he was exceptionally close to hitting 12 TDs instead of 10 (obvs he didn't tho).

Anyways, I know you can't count points based on what ifs, but I'm bored. So just for fun, had Adams gotten that extra yard on each those plays, and the two TDs - he would have bumped up to WR7 on the year. Additionally, because he only played 14 games, he would have been moved up from WR 6 to the WR 4 in points per game. Only behind: Antonio, Nuk, and OBJ (Hill and Keenan are 4/5 in ppg for ref).

I usually agree with most of your posts, but I'll have to attempt to convince you otherwise on this topic...

A more concrete stat to consider (than the "what if" TDs non-stat) was Adams red zone targets. Adams was only seeing 1.375 red zone targets with Hundley at QB, compare this to his average of 2 red zone targets/game with Rodgers. And I think we can all agree that a target from Rodgers is more likely to strike the mark than one from Hundley.

With this considered, I think we can safely say that we haven't seen Adams ceiling. To say that, we need to see a full season of him as the number 1 with a healthy Rodgers...which should be in 2018...barring any health issues.

I'd take Adams, and that's not saying much. I think they're both grossly overrated.

I love ARob but no one is taking him coming off an ACL over Adams. Even if you prefer Robinson as a player you take Adams for value. Obvious answer.
