Is McCoy & 2 2019 1st Rd Picks enough for D. Cook & D. Foreman

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Is McCoy & 2 2019 1st Rd Picks enough for D. Cook & D. Foreman

Postby Swids19 » Thu Feb 22, 2018 8:01 pm

I wanted to gauge this forum's opinion on an offer of L. McCoy & my 2 2019 1st Rd picks (could be Top 6 both picks) for RB's: Dalvin Cook & D'Onta Foreman. Is my offer too much, not enough? I am thinking of trying to trade McCoy for my Knights team and get younger at RB. I have 3 2019 1st Rd picks & 3 2019 2nd Rd picks that I use to "sweeten the pot". What are your thoughts? Thanks guys.

The time to use that ammo to get Cook would've been in season if the other team had a chance. While those picks have value, the fact that they are a year out and that McCoy isn't perceived to have more than 1-2 years left means you'd have to include another significant piece for a young RB who's shown the promise Cook has. Try the offer, because it can't hurt to ask. But I think you'd be better served using McCoy for this season in your Non-PPR and holding your picks to reload the following season.

After holding Cook and Foreman all last season, I'm not selling them for an aging RB on a mediocre team and some future picks before this new season starts.

I'm going on the other side I think you're overpaying. Shady, while aging, still has a load of value. I like Dalvin Cook, and think his arrow is pointing straight up with flames coming out of the bottom. But I think you can get better value with those assets rather than going all in on a guy who's played in 3 NFL games.
All my teams suck. And I'm not in your league.

Dalvin Cook owners, including myself, saw him look like the second fantasy coming of AP for the first bit of last season before blowing out his knee. We are salivating at getting that back this year. It would take the price of a Leonard Fournette without the ankle issues to get him from most of us (which could be all of us just buying into the hype that could easily sputter as we're looking at a 3 game sample size, an rb coming off of a blown out knee, and a Vikings teams that's been a royal roller coaster one year to the next)
