Sold Crowder- Was this worth it?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Sold Crowder- Was this worth it?

Postby gerg4747 » Thu Feb 22, 2018 10:01 am

Team in sig.

Sent 1.9 and Crowder for 1.6 and 3.6.

Feels like I sold low but don't need Crowder and wanted to move up in the first. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I would prefer Crowder and the 1.9. Don't think the 3 spot jump was worth it

There may be Crowder believers in your league that would have given more but I definitely like what you got better.

I would like it more if you got the 1.05 as you'd be more likely to land one of the better RBs there, but with your WRs I don't see Crowder leaving your bench for the forseeable future. I like it...hope somebody falls to you.

I'm not fully sure on where the tier following Barkley/Guice will end up yet. If its between that 1.9 and 1.6 then its worth it. If there were a clear top 5 picks and then a mixed bag like last year, then no

12 teams, .5PPR and he was at best your 4th option at WR???... yeah, seems like a good move as there will be more defined tiers after the draft.

It's hard to judge the exact value here until the rookie tiers shake out a bit more clearly, but definitely the value is on the Crowder side. If it just so happens that there's a rookie tier break between the 1.06 and 1.09, it could still work out well though.

I feel like it's a crapshoot right now after Barkley and Guice. I wouldn't have done this unless I had a clear target post NFL-draft, and I'm not even that high on Crowder. That said, it's not a bad trade either. I just don't see the point.

I’ll take the pick upgrade. Even if there are no clear tiers on average that make 1.6 dramatically more valuable than 1.9, each league is different and it’s usually not difficult to find a trading partner to move back if you are inclined to do so.
Team 1 (Sunday Collisions): 12 Team PPR: QB/2 RB/3 WR/TE/Flex 27 Roster
**6 straight championships**
QB: Allen, Watson, Prescott, Purdy, Darnold, Ridder
RB: Taylor, Ekeler, Mixon, Cook, Mattison, Kelley, Blackshear
WR: Adams, Diggs, Devonta Smith, Diontae Johnson, Richie James, Van Jefferson, Landry, Duvernay
TE: Kelce, Ruckert
PK: Bass, Dicker
DEF: Ravens, Jets, Chiefs, Bucs
2023 Picks: 2.5

Team 2 (Shakeweight): 12 Team PPR: QB/2 RB/3 WR/TE/Flex 25 Roster, 3 man rookie taxi

QB: Burrow, Cousins
RB: McCaffrey, Barkley, Jacobs, Gibson, Dillon, Patterson, Mason, Blackshear, Hilliard
WR: Tyreek, Juju, Diontae Johnson, Thielen, Bateman, Claypool, Landry, Corey Davis, Thornton
TE: Kelce, Hockenson, Engram
PK: Gano, Succop
DEF: Jets, Bucs
Taxi: Airton, Likely, Ferguson
2023 Picks: 1.3, 1.5, 1.10, 2,3, 3.10, 4.10, 5.10

This isn't the time to sell Crowder. For me, he's a guy you hold until he's producing in season.

If there ends up being a clear tier drop from 1.06 to 1.09, then this might pan out but I really don't see the point in moving two solid assets for the shot at one slightly better asset.

If there’s a tier drop Crowder isn’t the type of player that can make up the difference during the draft.
