Just landed the 1.01!! Thoughts?

Just landed the 1.01, 8.1, and 9.1 in a 12 team 10 round rookie draft for 1.03, 1.09, 1.12, and Marlon Mack. I know nothing is set in stone, but I feel the Colts draft another RB in this deep class to minimize the value of Mack. I had to pay a loftier price to get the 1.01 before the combine/draft when Barkleys value is most likely only going up from there. I think Barkley is the real deal, a blue chip player, generational talent like a Gurley or Zeke. My question to you is, did I overpay?

I think you overpaid, but it's the price you have to pay to get Barkley. BTW, Mack is going to be a 10 touch a game player even if the Colts bring in someone else. Just look at how Reich used his RB's in Philly.

I agree, that’s just an awful trade the other way. There’s no way I feel “trade raped” in any way.

To get the 1.01 and a WR prospect for 2 RB dart throws/prospects.. thats a trade rape for the 1.01 owner. Wow. Would love to play in this league LOL

Fair enough. Any day that you’re not a victim of a violent felony or horrific accident is a good day, I guess. It’s just an odd thing to include in a dynasty post. It’s like saying “Hey guys, I just traded Julio and a late 1st for Nuk, and I also didn’t get my arm caught in a wood chipper!”

To answer the original question: you paid what it costs to get 1.01. It’s not necessarily an overpay since we’ve all seen it go for much, much more. I’d say it’s a good deal.

Correct but your trading partner did (or at least overpaid). Thus, the 1.1 in that league would go for even more than the alleged “rape” OP took.
