All In Move. Cooks/Arob vs. AB

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

All In Move. Cooks/Arob vs. AB

Postby BelichekYourSelf » Wed Feb 21, 2018 10:54 am

Team 1 in my sig.

I'm coming out of a multiple year long rebuild. I thought last year it but then I lost Rodgers and OBJ and ended up 8-8 and missing the playoffs due to a tiebreaker. I want to do everything possible to win this year.

I'm thinking about offering Cooks and Arob for AB. I want to check in with all of you first though.

A starting lineup of

Rodgers
Barkley, Fournette
OBJ, AB, Evans
Bench: Keenen, Adams

Would be insane.

Think it is worth it? And do you think the AB owner (who is also a competing, but lacks depth) would go for it?
12 Team. Roster 22, 4 TS. PPR, TE Prem (1.75). Start 1 QB, 5 flex (2 RB Max), 1 Def, 1 K

It feels like an overpay, but I like it for your roster.

I'd try either Cooks or ARob + a future 1st if you want to make a deal like that. Fair offer and could get the job done while allowing you to retain one of those guys.

It is a bit of an overpay but I like it for your roster, especially since you have Keenan and Adams on the bench already. You might try to take one of those 2 and try to improve your RB depth as well. Or see if you take Fournette and Adams and get a Bell, Zeke or Gurley.

It's definitely an overpay, but makes sense for your roster. I'd see if I could get a 2nd or 3rd back.

I'd do it. AB will put your squad over the top. I'm not particularly high on Cooks or Arob so even with the age factored in I'd do it.

Everyone remembers Arobs great season but completely ignores his terrible one (ntm when you consider those season as his floor and ceiling, it's far more probable he is closer to his floor this yr)

It's hard to know when to start Cooks at the best of times. He'll sit on your bench until he blows up, then when you put him in he'll get you a whopping 4 pts.

Compare these two with AB who is as sure-fire a WR as you can get. He's a set it and forget it type from a consistency side, plus he can also win you your week.

You also have young players in OBJ, Evans, Adams, Fournette and Barkley - so I wouldn't worry about the age factor. You'll be fine for a long time.

Def make the trade.

An overpay but it definitely makes your team better. Every week starter for two guys who are likely to have far more down weeks than AB.

Great trade for other guy who can probably start them most every week. They'd be sitting on your team. At least one if not both probably every week.

It sounds like you have shallow starting requirements.. And for that reason, I could see a way it would get declined if only one of ARob & Cooks fit into their starting lineup.

For example, in the league I have AB - I only need to start 3 WRs too. I also have Julio & Evans, so one of Cooks/ARob would be a bye/injury filler and I would not do it.

You could argue its an overpay but it is also not a sure thing to be accepted.
