Your thoughts on my start up draft

Postby 1coldone » Sat Feb 17, 2018 10:03 pm

It's the "offseason"...thought is would be fun to keep up with an on going draft. It is a low entry fee league, so no biggie, if I completely jack up the draft (other than hurt pride...lol)

Super Early Email Dynasty Draft. Picking 7th, same scoring and rules as team in signature. This started Friday and will update as we go.

Hate picking in the middle...lol. Any advice would be great and fun.

Love the Bell pick, but I probably would have taken Hill over Adams. Not a bad start though.

thanks for helping out, my thoughts were about the better qb situation, nelson and cobb being about done in GB and which team relies more on the pass attack. though, hill is the better talent of the 2.

glad i posted this, to get different points of views. will help later.

Pretty good start so far. I like the Bell and Robinson picks. Hopefully Adams can build on last season.

I think your team has a pretty nice balance of youth/production so far. Looks like you're an immediate contender (top team in the short term so far maybe) while not being particularly "old" even if you're not rolling out a bunch of 21 year olds.

Surprise pick of the draft so far has to be McCoy in the mid 3rd I think. Guy was a mid 4th ADP last year with only a few years left, and now a year closer to the end he goes a round earlier? I think he may be done. If you look at his career arc it pretty closely mirrors that of other workhorse backs like LT, Edge, Alexander, Faulk that had big drops in YPC in their age 29 season despite solid volume fantasy numbers, and were nearly useless in their age 30 season and beyond.

i like the adams pick a ton.. i probably wouldve trade down from the `-07 for a 2nd/3 type trade and grabbed a couple of younger guys but the value is there and nothing wrong with that pick. I wouldve took Davis over robinson.. but its is a nice start.. well done.

I like the top 6 though probably would have gone Gronk/Engram in 4th. In 6th I’d have gone Luck otherwise probably would have waited til later, like round 10+. Not a big fan of 7/8. Cousins in 8th in particular seems like a reach/got caught at end of a run and got a bit desperate. Probably would have gone some combo of Martavis/Williams/Doctson in 7/8 hole.

Overall nice start.
