Your thoughts on my start up draft

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Big Ben in the 10th
Thanks for replies so far.

QB is getting real thin, aging or bad ones. Yea, I reached...lol. Rivers is old as dirt, Carr and Bortles are not that good, Smith is going to a new team and has a noodle arm. Would have rather waited, but picking are getting slim. Already have a finding a TE issue looming, didn't want the at QB in a year or so, as well.

Every time I wanted a TE, they were taken before I could get them. Wanted to get Njoku at the shepherd pick. This year we can flex in a TE, but scoring didn't change ...so everyone is still snatching TEs earlier (than usual) and still do not have one. In most cases, the rb or wr is still better than flexing a TE.

Thanks again for the replies, will help in future drafts...knowing my bad habits...lol

Big fan of your first five rounds, which is huge. I would have definitely passed on Shepard at 6, probably for Rudolph, Luck, maybe even Crowder. I feel like Smith is going to work well with him.

Picks 7 and 8 seem fine, Cousins may be a particularly good deal there depending on where he lands, but I wouldn't draft Cohen anywhere at all. With Cousins on board already I don't think you really needed Ben at 10, and if you really wanted a QB2 I would have absolutely taken Carr instead.

Given where you're at now, I would put TE out of your mind and just go BPA. Don't reach, just stream some upside guys. ASJ, Burton, Ebron, that sort. You should be able to lock up two of them with no trouble at all.

I hate the Cohen and Big Ben picks tbh, everything else I like. I would've taken Carr over Big Ben all day. My fav buy low TE to target would be ebron

thanks for the advice. yea, probably should have went carr. Big Ben is just generally a top 10 guy year in and year out. having a QB passing to Bell and Brown tipped it to him.

was at work when, I made last pick and did not get to check here. took godwin, as he rated highest player by adp.

thanks again

Strong finish, all of those skill players are nice upside stashes.

Yeah, I like that Burton pick near the end of the draft. Even if he ends up sucking, he should have a perceived value jump if/once he signs with a new team as many expect.
