Keenan Allen

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Keenan Allen

Postby georgetown » Sat Feb 17, 2018 1:01 pm

I stuck to my guns on him last offseason bc I couldn’t even manage to get the 1.07 for him last year. He finally was able to stay healthy and put up a great season.

Now is it time to sell high? Coming off a career year, Rivers is another year older, I assume Henry and Williams will be more involved next year ...

What should I expect from him in return? I was offered the 1.02 but so far that’s been it.

Thanks for the feedback! Team 1 below.

1.2 or 1.1 to move Keenan for me. Even then why would you want to sell? Rivers loves him and he is a fantastic WR. If its a non PPR then his value clearly changes -

I'd want at least the 1.01. But I also wouldn't worry about moving him. Just continue to enjoy WR1 numbers for several years.

My opinion could change after the combine and the draft, but I wouldn’t move Keenan for the 1.02 right now. I’d personally take the 1.01 for him, but I’m quite a bit weaker at RB than WR.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬
QB: Hurts, Howell
RB: Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Akers, Roschon, Dowdle, Kelley
WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert
TE: Hockenson, Chig, Trautman
Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

Hull Awaits
$450 cap, 60 contract years

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0
WR: Nuk $78/1, MT $25/1, M. Williams $1/0, JSN $21/5, Reed $4/5, Rice $4/5, M. Wilson $2/5
TE: Thomas $1/0, Hill $1/0, Parham $1/0

Yeah, this for me too. He looked damn good last season and it would take the 1.01 for me.

I agree with these. I'd take 1.01 (Barkley) for him, but wouldn't do 1.02 straight up. However, as an Allen I haven't seen anything close to receiving 1.02 for him. My league is still playing the, "he's injury prone and never healthy" narrative.

That narrative is so annoying. He tore his ACL, but other than that he's only had a couple of fluky injuries (lacerated kidney, broken collarbone).

When I think injury prone, I think of someone who has had a recurring problem throughout their careers/lives, like Watkins' foot, Fournette's ankles, RG3's knees, Eifert's entire body, Gronk's back, etc.

This in my league too.

That said, I'd still rather have Allen than the 1.02. And I'm of the belief that a better supporting cast around him will help, not hurt his numbers.

Maybe he isn’t injury prone but he is ALWAYS hurt. He is absolutely a sell high. I’d try to get 1.1 but if you’re intent on selling then 1.2+ would be good price. He is a big regression candidate (more targets for Henry and Williams) and if not probably going to get hurt again. Recency bias is a beautiful thing.

"Always?" Didn't he just play a full 16 game season? How is that "always?"

It was figurative, pretty sure you know that! 1/5 seasons playing 16. 2 seasons less than 8. 54/80 total.

If you were in my leagues then you would probably offer much less than the 1.2 for him like everyone else does for elite players.
