How is this Mariota superflex trade?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

How is this Mariota superflex trade?

Postby Space Cowboy » Sat Feb 17, 2018 9:58 am

12 team superflex. He has no QB2. This trade would still leave me with Maholmes, Trubisky, Foles and Tyrod.

I give --- Mariota + Funchess
I get --- ARob + JuJu

I like this deal. How is your WR depth before making the deal? Looks like you can afford to move Mariota.

Brown / Hill / Crowder / Funchess / Godwin / Moncrief

We can start up to 5 so I plan on starting 4 most week.

I would think you should be able to get more out of Mariota than that. Plus it’s not like Mahomes and Trubisky are sure things. Foles could be a backup again next year and who knows how long of a leash Tyrod will get wherever he goes.

Not a bad trade but could possibly leave you with zero viable starters at some point

I wouldn't feel comfortable moving Mariota with the three QBs you have left. I mean, I like Mahomes and have him in my superflex too, but he's still unproven. Trubisky has the draft capital to stick around a bit, but that doesn't mean hell turn out to be good either. And we don't know what's going to happen to Tyrod.

Anyway, I would much rather hold Mariota and try to sell one of the other three.

I wouldn't make that trade. It would leave you with a lot of question marks at QB, the most important position in a SF.

Unlike most here, I couldn't care less about your depth. It's February.

But still. I wouldn't recommend moving Mariota unless you could get a QB in return.

I think it is a good return for Mariota, but I am not that high on him.

Do you have the draft capital to replenish at QB if you make this move?

Either way, unless you are sure do not make the move. No rush this time of year.
