2018 RB draft class

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

2018 RB draft class

Postby Gator Sens » Fri Feb 16, 2018 8:55 pm

Just curious how everyone feels about this year's RB class? Do you think there could be 4-5 immediate impact RB's like 2017 or this class will be a bit of a let down after an incredible class last year?

Ignore the sarcasm above. I think it'll be a good class, but not nearly as good or deep as last year's, at least in terms of immediate production.

Anything is possible, but I highly doubt we’ll see four rookies among the top 10 RBs in 2018. I do think it could be deeper than the 2017 class, but probably not as top-heavy.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬
QB: Hurts, Howell
RB: Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Akers, Roschon, Dowdle, Kelley
WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert
TE: Hockenson, Chig, Trautman
Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

Hull Awaits
$450 cap, 60 contract years

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0
WR: Nuk $78/1, MT $25/1, M. Williams $1/0, JSN $21/5, Reed $4/5, Rice $4/5, M. Wilson $2/5
TE: Thomas $1/0, Hill $1/0, Parham $1/0

Won’t quite be as instantly impactful, but I do feel Barkley, Guice and Michel will all be studs. Michel more of a solid ppr back.
12 Team 1 pt PPR

QB Stroud Tua
RB Bijan, Gibbs, Jamaal, CEH, Allgeier, Brown
WR Hill, JJ, AJB, Keenan, ReedReed, Thielen, Boyd, Iosivas, Tucker
TE Hockenson Ferguson,

DT Donald Zach Allen
DE Crosby, Van Ness, Turner, Wonnum,

With these impact RBs coming out every year I am worried about the RB position. It seems like every team will have a stud and devalue the position. I am trying to acquire WRs while I can because they seem to be harder to acquire.

This, maybe not a shadow, but I think it will better because the backs are bigger and more versatile.
Team 1: 16 Team
QB's: Fields, Wentz,
RB: D. Harris, D. Montgomery, Kendre M.
WR: Chase, AJ Brown, Aiyuk, Bateman
TE: Waller, J. Woods, Dulich, Mayer

Team 2: 12 Team SF 1ppr, Start 10
QB: Mahomes, Burrow, Watson
RB: Hall, Walker, Javonte, Pacheco, K Mitchell, Dobbins
WR: Godwin, JSN, Pittman, Pickens, Toney, DP Jones, S Moore
TE: Andrews, Fant, Likely
(2024) 1.03, 2.03, 3.03
(2025) Top 3 1st, my 1st

Team 3 SF, TEP, Start 11 ppr
QB: AR, Watson, Young, Levis
RB: ETN, Walker, Pierce, Akers, Pacheco, Herbert, Warren, Kelley
WR: G. Wilson, Higgins, Godwin, Kirk, Bateman, Collins, Doubs, Chark, Shaheed,
TE: Schultz, I Smith, Bellinger, Parham, Fant, Likely, Granson,

That would be something because the 2017 backs are very versatile.

best rb class to date - anyone taking a wr inside the first 5 picks is a dummy imo

Like the smart ones said, best rb class ever. 2018 is all about setting benchmarks. Doubt the doubters

Very deep. I think it will end up being up there with any class when we look back in a couple years. I know I would be trying to deepen my WR group with trades now if owned multiple top 20 picks cuz I could see myself using them all on RBs. Once these guys start testing at the combine.....look out

On paper it might be even slightly better than last year's which is pretty crazy since 2017 was amazing. There are guys hardly anyone's talking about like John Kelly, Kalen Ballage, and Wadley who could end up being fantasy relevant players at some point in their careers. I think it's unrealistic to expect the immediate impact that the 2017 class had though. A lot of people (many on here) were incredibly high on guys like Kareem and Kamara but they exceeded even the highest expectations in their first seasons.
