SF offer

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

SF offer

Postby Cowboysfan33 » Fri Feb 16, 2018 6:12 am

12 Team SuperFlex

I was offered Diggs/1.08 for D.Watson. It’s not a terrible offer but I can’t take that deal because I think Watson is going to be great, at least in fantasy terms. The question I have is, would you counter Derek Carr for Diggs/1.08? This is our first offseason in this league and my inclination is to just keep the QBs I have because I found know it’s so important to have as many starting QBs as possible. Also, he’s very thin at QB with only Cam & B.Hundley so I don’t even have the option of trying to get a QB back from him.Counter or keep what I have?

My QBs: Brady, Carr, Watson, Cutler

Assuming Cutler is done, I don't think you can afford to knock yourself down to two starters. Unless you have a solid plan in place to secure a different QB first, but you've already said you're a Watson believer, so hard to see a reason to do that short of a big overpay.

I'd make that trade especially this year with so many quarterbacks coming out and being legitimate first round picks. Especially since you have Carr and brady.

You think there will be a top QB available at 1.08 in a superflex? I guess there could be depending on what happens, but this was about where Trubisky/Mahomes/Watson were going last year, and they were much less hyped than this class.

That’s pretty much what I was thinking too. I do like Diggs though and his offer was pretty good since Diggs is one of his best players plus his pick 1.08 but I don’t even think I could give up Carr for that.

What other first round picks do you have and how youthful is your non-QB team?

Depending on how savvy your league is, there's a chance that 1.08 coupled with your own 1st could net you some quality SF youth. That said, if you do this, Tom Brady must be sold off as well as it would seem a move toward mini-rebuild

With only having 3 starting QBs, I'd rather hang onto them.
