Melvin Gordon. What is he?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Melvin Gordon. What is he?

Postby WebTim » Sun Feb 04, 2018 10:38 am

I have traded for Melvin Gordon a few weeks ago and people either love him for his fantasy numbers or hate him for his efficiency, or I should say lack there off. What is he? Is he a guy I should look to move again?

I would probably move him to get an upgrade at WR, your team is pretty good though

to your signature: I would place freeman in front of him ;)

I would roll Gordon in your flex position and see if he can keep racking up touchdowns and go from there. I'm a big RB guy though...

He's a RB1, don't over think it because some people don't like him. If you get good value, you should trade everyone. But don't trade a guy just for the sake of trading him.

I'm not a huge fan but none the less he is an rb1. If you could cash in for good value then I would do it because I feel like he's got a small window left before his inefficiency catches him. 2 more years I'd say at most before he is atleast put into a timeshare of some sort

Like others have said you should trade him if you can sell high. But I think the number of people undervaluing Gordon far exceeds those overvaluing him. Seems like most are down on him.

He is very talented. Watch his film on Gamepass. The dude is extremely good as a runner and as a receiver. He's not to the level of DJ or Bell, and probably not even to the level of Gurley or Mixon or Freeman but he's RIGHT after them.

Melvin Gordon has continued to make improvements as running back in the NFL. He can catch and run very well. The only concern for me is how much will A. Ekeler cut into his workload.

Nice running back to have on your team though.

I'll cosign to this. I think it's fair to assume his TDs and maybe even his catches to come down a bit, but his total yards should go up with some O-line improvements and the offense as a whole gelling.

As a runner? He's that special. He routinely made plays that VERY few RBs could make.

Did you see the week 17 game against the Ravens?

He's dissapointed slightly as a runner, but the TDs have really picked up and he's really improved as a pass catcher.

Locked in RB1, like someone else said, don't overthink it just cause he's not totally loved. There's only so many Zeke, Gurley, DJ, Bell......be happy with your Gordon.
