Melvin Gordon. What is he?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

What has Mixon accomplished to be in the Gurley and Freeman level?
As a runner? He's that special. He routinely made plays that VERY few RBs could make.

Did you see the week 17 game against the Ravens?
So unrealized potential (as of now) and a 96 yard rushing game puts him over the likes of Kamara, Hunt, Fournette, Zeke, McCoy?

I don't think I'd necessarily be shopping him but if somebody comes along with a great offer, then you can entertain. You're losing Gore soon enough so maybe it's good to keep him around as another very good RB.

I'm not comparing him to Zeke from a dynasty asset perspective, but yes he and Zeke are in the same neighborhood talent-wise. Kamara and Shady too. Hunt is not as talented as Mixon. Fournette, hard to say - he's so different.

But yes, I absolutely think Mixon is already one of the few best RB's in the game.

Yes, he is a locked in RB1. But it can not be ignored that he has averaged under 4.0 YPC for three straight seasons.

While he lacks efficiency, can't argue with the production which is very consistent for the past 2 years. As others have mentioned as well, he's improved each year. I see little reason for that to change or decrease much unless Ekeler gets a heavier workload in the passing game.

He's basically locked in as a top 5 fantasy back until otherwise.

Especially in a non-PPR. He is inefficient, and that may catch up to him, but he gets the bulk of the early down and goal line work and uses that to score points at a top 10 level. Previous posts that suggested selling for another top RB are correct, if the value is there. Personally, I would check the D. Henry owner to see what else he would add on top for Gordon. If the value isn't there, the worst that happens is you get Gordon's point production in your starting lineup.

Hes an absolute beast. 1600 yards this season - 2nd in receptions on Chargers. I wouldn't move him for anything less that 1.1 +

Free agent Mike Pouncey will visit the Chargers on Saturday. His stock has plummeted the past two seasons with his constant hip injuries. But if they can get him at a discount price along with Forrest Lamp's return, the Chargers run blocking should be improved.

2QB, Non-PPR

Was just offered Melvin for the 1.03? I'm in dire need of an RB (Mixon + Coleman are my go to)

At this point I imagine it's comparing Gordon to Guice/Chubb

I personally decided to try to trade high on him and pickup a young guy in Dalvin Cook. I think Gordon isn't going to be worth as much as he is today ever again with all of these young RB's coming up but on the other side of that I think the Chargers are taking steps to improve the O-line and will address in in the draft so I dont think you need to be panicking and sell him either.

Not sure what all the hate is about for Gordon. If you actually watch the games he is always dominating. He puts up RB1 numbers. His YPCis low because he and his line have been banged up and/or terrible past 2 seasons. He should have another huge season.

Amen. They just signed Pouncey and Lamp is healthy. FYI, Lamp last year was just a slightly lesser version of how Quenton Nelson is talked about this year.

For some reason, people just hate Gordon. He'll continue putting up RB1 numbers over the next 5 years, and people will still say he sucks.
