Superflex startup - need advice asap!

Just started a superflex startup - we don't have to start 2 QBs but we can if we choose. The scoring is heavily slanted towards QBs with bonuses for long TDs, etc...first 3 picks were Gurley, Nuk and OBJ. I'm up now. Based on the scoring system, the top 4 scorers (per week avg) were Watson, Wentz, Gurley and Wilson. I pretty much go Wentz here, don't I?

Id go wentz but prep by drafting an extra qb (4 starters preferably) if wentz doesnt play right week 1

I just lean Wentz or Wilson due to age

I’d go Wilson if QB but wouldn’t necessarily do that. My SF strategy (1 year in lol) is to start 2 QBs each week but you don’t have to have a top 3-5 QB. A couple of low end QB1 or high end QB2 will work if you’re good at RB/WR. I know my advice will be in the minority.

In this league, he averaged the 2nd most pts weekly after Watson. A good 5 or 6 pts ahead of most other QBs too expect for Wilson

Depth at other positions matters as well. The more depth (i.e. many flex spots) dilutes the QB position a bit vs. others (imo). If you're just starting a regular number of players (say, 2RB, 3WR, TE and Flex) then QB all the way with your scoring settings. I'd personally have gone for Rodgers, but if you want Wentz, can't fault you for taking your guy (that's part of the fun here).

Not a bad choice. I'd probably take a QB in the 2nd round as well. I'm assuming people in your league don't realize how important the position is and I'll bet there's still a really good one available next round.

Absolutely the right pick with Wentz. I am in this draft (PeachPanther) and I held 1.03 with every intention on drafting Wentz 3rd overall if he was there. After looking at everything and getting a good deal to trade back, I figured I could probably land D.Watson at 1.06, which I did.

In 2-3 years Wentz will probably be the 2nd coming of Aaron Rodgers and you will be patting yourself on the back.

Just did my first SF startup aswell. Was surprised with the players who fell. Ended up getting Andrew luck at 30 which I think could turn into a steal.
