Rodgers Value Superflex

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Rodgers Value Superflex

Postby brdnadm » Mon Jan 22, 2018 3:32 pm

So, with Rodgers being out last year and not getting any younger. What is his superflex value? 1/2 ppr, Superflex, TE Premium league. I just moved Jimmy Garoppolo, the 1.9 and 2019 1 for Rodgers, and a 3rd that turns into a 2nd if Rodgers plays 12 games or under. I dont know if its really possible to over pay for Rodgers. What are your thoughts ?

I would have paid that for Rodgers in a SF. He's still a top 3 pick in SF startups in my opinion, if not the top pick.

He was still the first QB off the board in my last Superflex startup and while he might not be getting younger - many QBs seem to be playing longer.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

That's a pretty bad trade.
Arod>>Mariota
Davis>=CMC

I wouldn't use that as a guideline to Arod's value.

I expect Rodgers to continue to play at a very high level for at least another 5 years, if not more.

That said, I think he should be the first player off the board in a Superflex.
I like that trade for you.

I would have asked for another piece / pick in the Jimmy Garoppolo, the 1.9 and 2019 1 side, but I'm a huge believer in Jimmy G.

I think this is a fair deal for Rodgers, though on the high end of his value. You basically paid four 1sts + 3rd. As a big Garoppolo believer, you may regret this in a year or two, but if you're a strong contender and added Rodgers, I'm sure you will be fine.

Rodgers is still a very strong argument for the 1.1 in a 2QB/SF sartup

Would you pay Jimmy G, 1.9, and a future 1st for the best player in your fantasy league? Yes

Only way to not make that move is if Jimmy G becomes a top 5 QB. I think he's shown he's good, but I'm not sure about that high of a level, or if your team is a mess and you'd rather have the multiple picks and a younger QB.

If that 1.9 was yours and your team got a high finish last year and now you'll have that team plus Aaron Rodgers for next year I think that should put you in championship run positioning.
