Need to fill a roster spot - any strong opinions?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Need to fill a roster spot - any strong opinions?

Postby jman3134 » Mon Jan 22, 2018 10:14 am

Made a bunch of three for one trades and have since signed Krishawn Hogan, Joe Williams, Rico Gathers, and Malcolm Mitchell off my waiver wire.

I need to fill the roster with one more flier.

Options:
Josh Malone
Noah Brown
Chad Williams
Carlos Henderson
Isaiah Ford
Erik Swoope
Jeff Janis
Charles Sims

Am I off to not have been impressed with Chad Williams this year? Henderson I have been DQing in my head after his arrest. I like Noah Brown a lot, but they seem to use him like a TE, and there is no clear path to PT.

CG, if you are on here, can you tell me your perspective on Ford as it stands now? I read this thread (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=138337&hilit=Isaiah+ford&start=45)

and you seemed to be pretty high on him. I'm wondering if I am better off taking an unknown with potential upside. Thoughts?

Or I am open to any other deep fliers you guys have in mind.

Chad Williams did nothing in 2017, but he's still the best prospect out of the guys you listed.

I’d take Williams. There’s a lot of ? On that team with the qb and head coach but they’re also losing about half there receiving core to FA so should get some PT next year

I'd go with Chad as well. If anything, he might have the best shot at actually getting an opportunity if Fitz retires, compared to everyone else on that list. The rest of those guys will continue to spend time on benches for at least one more year. Chad's competition won't be as bad.

All fair perspectives and definitely swaying me to Chad.

What about Ford though? Landry is a FA. Is it certain they bring him back? Is Carroo insurmountable? He lost some time to Rashawn Scott this year.

I think if Landry leaves, they draft someone new.
