Bot101 wrote: Fri Jan 19, 2018 3:18 pm This is for team in sig, roster requirements and format also in sig. Leaguemate has tentativey floated his 2.05 for Cohen. As you've probably noticed, I have little in the way of RBs but hoping to get some in this draft besides the obvious Barkley with my 1.01.
Ive heard Cohens name floated in some podcasts as a great buy low target with the new coaching staff in place. Is this a snap accept, too low or simply a fair trade? Thanks!

Cohen, Fox has been flushed, new regime coming in that is known theoretically to use pass catching running backs well. The 2.5 in a draft with a lot of depth is nice, but I think we already know that Cohen is a damn good satellite back and w/a halfway intelligent coach, it's more than likely he gets proper amount of touches. Apparently the ST's coach is already in love with his game, so hopefully, that will go further, but to me, you're 2.05 is a roll of the dice hoping you get a usable running back. Well, you already have a usable RB. To me, you're running a strong risk you end up with a bust, instead of a usable RB. To me, anyway, it's fairly easy to acquire picks like 2nd rounders in season and during the draft by trading down. Out of season, I'm trying to acquire players and/or trade down, I'm not interested in moving players at their lowest valuations for picks at their highest. Just not worth it to me.

I voted Cohen.

A mid 2nd is a lot more of a dart throw than most are willing to admit.

I believe Cohen will get more involved, Nagy seemed like a decent playcaller. Howard is not the type of back that demands ALL the touches and I imagine they will pass to Cohen a lot giving Trub high percentage options.

I did not expect a neck and neck poll at all.

Bears homer and I loved watching Cohen last year, and think his arrow is pointing straight up. But half point PPR and I am assuming no points for ST/return yards does hurt his value. Still, if you want a RB at 2.5 I would just keep Cohen.

It looks pretty even with the poll at 20-20. I voted the 2.05.

I see what you did there.
But yes, in a 10 team, half PPR league, the pick carries much more value than a 3rd down back.
16 Team PPR 1 QB - 2 RB - 2 WR - 1 TE - 1 Flex
QB- R.Wilson, B. Mayfield
RB- D. Cook, Zeke, J. Jacobs, J. McKinnon, A. Collins, I. Smith, B. Hill, R. Armstead, M. Boone
WR- J. Smith-Schuster, T. Boyd, C. Sutton, M. Brown, H. Ruggs, S. Miller
TE- G. Kittle, Enron, C. Herndon

I like Cohen, but I’m not sure his talent is going to “win out” if you mean he’s going to win the starting gig outright over a guy that posted 1,313 and 1,122 yards rushing in his first two NFL seasons. I’d take the pick here, as there will likely be a running back available at 2.05 that has as good or a better chance at being a starter/productive fantasy producer.

Goat will turn into the goat on this one. Tarik can be an effective RB as well as receiver mismatch. Not to say that the 15th pick won't be good as well.

I chose the pick. I traded away Cohen last season and cashed in on his hot start. No regrets. In a 0.5 PPR league, your 2.05 pick could become a future starting TE, like Dallas Goedert, who likely plays every down.

15th overall pick vs Cohen? Come on now that's the pick all day. He's flashy and fun but that doesn't translate to FF success.
