My offer for 1.1

Postby jeaton6 » Thu Jan 18, 2018 3:39 pm

12 Team PPR with bonuses for return yards. Going after 1.1. Keep 15 so the later picks have more value than normal and I have abundance of Picks I need to consolidate (11 in first 4 rounds and rosters only move to 23 at rookie draft)

How does this offer look?

Give: 1.4, 1.6, McKinnon, 3.11, 4.11
Get: 1.1, 2.1
Team 1 (Sunday Collisions): 12 Team PPR: QB/2 RB/3 WR/TE/Flex 27 Roster
**6 straight championships**
QB: Allen, Watson, Prescott, Purdy, Darnold, Ridder
RB: Taylor, Ekeler, Mixon, Cook, Mattison, Kelley, Blackshear
WR: Adams, Diggs, Devonta Smith, Diontae Johnson, Richie James, Van Jefferson, Landry, Duvernay
TE: Kelce, Ruckert
PK: Bass, Dicker
DEF: Ravens, Jets, Chiefs, Bucs
2023 Picks: 2.5

Team 2 (Shakeweight): 12 Team PPR: QB/2 RB/3 WR/TE/Flex 25 Roster, 3 man rookie taxi

QB: Burrow, Cousins
RB: McCaffrey, Barkley, Jacobs, Gibson, Dillon, Patterson, Mason, Blackshear, Hilliard
WR: Tyreek, Juju, Diontae Johnson, Thielen, Bateman, Claypool, Landry, Corey Davis, Thornton
TE: Kelce, Hockenson, Engram
PK: Gano, Succop
DEF: Jets, Bucs
Taxi: Airton, Likely, Ferguson
2023 Picks: 1.3, 1.5, 1.10, 2,3, 3.10, 4.10, 5.10

I have the 1.1 in my league and this offer does nothing for me.

A starting point but not enough to seal the deal.

Where I own the 1.01 I'd likely do that deal but I have a feeling most 1.01 owners are salivating over either Barkley or trading the 1.01 for a kings ransom.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

These kind of trades will have more power later in the offseason. Everyone talks about the 1.1 value increasing as rookie drafts approach but its the other 1st round picks that are going to increase more. They usually increase once we start being able to put names to them, etc. We already know what 1.1 is, it's already near its peak value. Picks like 1.4 and 1.6 will have more value when people know more definitively who they will be able to get there.

I don't agree with this. The picks aren't that valuable, and I'd argue even less valuable since you have so many at this point in time. McKinnon is very ancillary in a trade that involves 1.01.

I'd be looking at this as 1.01 and 2.01 for 1.04 and 1.06 which is a hard pass.

Did you read the format? Keep 15 players + Return Yards. There will be players dropped that would not be on a normal WW that will make later picks more valuable (the late 3 is more like a late 2). The picks may be less valuable to me because I have so many (but right now not really) but that doesn’t change the value of them to someone else.

Problem is, in a 12 team league where 15 players are kept, that's roughly 180 of the top players (give or take based on team depth). The players being cut are most likely not going to be worth 2nd round rookie picks, so I wouldn't necessarily equate a 3rd to a 2nd. In a deal where you're trying to get value like the 1.01, those later picks and players like McKinnon aren't going to move the needle much.

You should be able to get more than that, but it might look good to those who haven't delved into the draft info yet.

It is a weak offer. Yes I read the format. Take off the 2.01 to be taken seriously.

Me too. Take off the 2.01 and it'd be closer. Still a pass though.

Based on the analysis I’ve done cuts will include these players (assuming no trades between now and the SB): Joe Williams, Mack Hollins, Taywan Taylor, Chris Carson, ASJ, Kittle, Breida, Kizer, Gallman, Ware, Powell, Gore, Cole, Kizer, Walker, Djax, Jonnu, Butt, McGuire, Yeldon, Ekeler, Javorius, Stewart, Richardson, Zay, Martin, Shaheen, Mike Davis, Ginn, Ravens (17 PPG in this format), Jordan Matthews

Not a stretch that some dynasty players would value some of these guys and pick them ahead of late 2nd round rookies thereby enabling a late 3 to possibly nab you a late 2 rookie.

All said I agree McKinnon and picks don’t move the needle thus removing them and the 2.1 would make sense.

1.4 and 1.6 doesn’t feel like weak sauce to me but perhaps I’m being too optimistic
