Arob for J.Mixon

Postby NY CAT » Thu Jan 18, 2018 8:23 am

I would like the community thought on this trade proposal.
Give: A. Rob
Rec: J. Mixon

I'm thinking of securing J. Mixon.

Wrs: S. Watkins, K. Benjamin, D. Parker, D. Moncrief, C. Williams, T. Lockett, K. Golladay.

Rbs: A. Jones, Ty Montgomery, J. Williams, K. Dixon, J. Williams, E.Mcguire and T. Riddick.

Would this trade improve my team or hurt it?

We start 3-4 wrs and 2-3 rbs.

PPR.

I voted yes because I am a huge Mixon fan. And then took a longer look at your roster. Your RBs and WRs are equally in need of work. What picks do you have and who are your QBs and TEs?

That’s a tough one. I feel like ARob’s value should be higher but if I was going to keep one of these players the next few years I’d take Mixon.

Wow your team needs work just about everywhere. Ok so 1.01 means you've got Barkley locked up. What other picks do you have?

There have been but none that are worthy.

Well that stinks. If you could trade 1.01 for Mixon ++ that would be much better. You need to rebuild your roster top to bottom. Anyone of interest on the wire?

I think their values are somewhat close, but I'd rather have Mixon.

I'd rather have Robinson, but I think this is a matter of preference. The two are pretty equal in value.

That's a toughie, for me I prefer ARob, just because he's a WR, and I've seen him produce a WR1 caliber season. That being said, Mixon's younger, and has a clearer path to eventual value. Both are in a weird spot though. Arob could change teams though I keep hearing he'll be franchised and traditionally players perform worse when changing teams, but if he stays, he has the one of the worst QB's in the NFL throwing to him in a run first offense that has quite a few solid WR's, and Mixon's stuck with a bad coach, a terrible OL, and no clear plan at QB (Dalton? McCarron, someone else?).

For me, I'd stand pat because there's no clarity right now, I would be more inclined to move either way when I had a better idea who will be the Jags QB in '18, and if the Bengals will spend FA money and/or day one draft picks on improving their OL. Until we know more, it's really unclear which player will be more valuable in the short term. I own both these guys on several of my teams, but not on the any of the same teams which is kinda funny (I have 7 in all, I think I have Robinson on 3 or 4 and Mixon on 4 or 5).

Between the 2 I’d prefer Mixon, but I like both. Mixon and Barkley is a good RB foundation.

But I think an earlier suggestion if trading the 1.01 for Mixon ++ is a great idea also.
