Owners will want a 1st, buyers will want to pay an early 2nd at most.

I'd buy him at 2.01-2.04 and I'd sell him for that or better if I had QB depth. I think he's going to be a good NFL QB but not yet certain he's going to be a fantasy juggernaut. He has great intangibles, not quite ideal size at 6'2", is a great leader it seems, and can make all the throws. He'll be a highly discussed player this offseason as will his weapons.

Hard to gauge value with qbs in 1 qb leagues sometimes. I couldn’t hardly give Cousins away despite 2 straight top 5 years and 3 top 10. I would need a mid to late first to sell JimmyG. Very high on him.

I’d move him for 2.1-2.7. I wouldn’t pay more than an early 3. Fools gold.

Depends on scoring rules but I’d be hesitant to pay more than a 2nd. If your going to give up a first I think there are more proven options you could get for the same price

He's a player who I think we'll see very little movement, owners will always want more than buyers will be willing to pay.

I'm in talks to pay the 1.11 for him but I'm only doing that because I know I can flip him to a huge 49rs fan for more. If it weren't for that I wouldn't pay more than an early to mid 2nd until he has more than a couple good games.

I will invest in my starting QB in a 1QB league because I want a difference maker. I won't settle for middling options. Garoppolo in not in that tier and not work that level of investment. I'd be fine with him as my backup but not my weekly guy. Voted for the early/middle 2nd because that is where I believe his value is whether or not I'm willing to pay it.

I disagree. Granted the sampling is very small but he has shown there is a good chance he can throw up 25pts a game with minimal talent. With that coach and if they add any descent talent I think he could be a top 5 QB for years. I think he will get you an extra 3-5 pts at qb position next year vs most of the 2nd tier guys.

I don't know if he'll be top 5, but he definitely looks like a top 75-100 start up pick now with top 5 potential. The yardage totals he had w/zero weapons to speak of was insanely impressive. Pats apparently loved him too. I'm in a weird spot because I own him in a ton of places as a cheap way to address waiting on QB that's finally paid off for me and so while I'd like to offload him for some value, I value having a cheap solution at QB more than I do the late 1st or early to mid 2nd which has that trademark low hit rate (I think random 2nd rounders are at about 27% in terms of hitting).

I'd definitely liked to recoup some value since I got him quite cheap, but after dealing with so many injuries and issues at QB while streaming or owning Luck (generally the two approaches I've used), having Garoppolo just makes more sense to me. I would say if you're strong at the position you should trade him, perhaps in a package.

In terms of player for player trades, it appears that these are the guys 10 ahead and 10 below them:

Cobb <
Burkhead <
McKinnon <
Jamaal Williams +<
Cameron Meredith >
Winston >
C. Thompson
-------------------
Garoppolo
-------------------
Reed <
M. Lee <
Graham <
Hogan =<
Perine <
Olsen =<
Goodwin <
E. Sanders >
G. Bernard =<
Edelman <
Z. Jones =<

I've just had this offer come in for Jimmy. I think I could knock a third off, or swap for my 3.12 for one of them, but got me stumped. I've obviously held him for a while as I think he could be pretty special, but is this just good value? It's a one QB league after all

Give: jimmy G + 3.05 + 3.10
Get: 1.11

My current picks 2.12, 3.05, 3.10, 3.12, 5.12
Otherside: 1.11 + 3x5ths
Dynasty - 9th year, 12-team, Standard scoring, 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLEX, 1K, 1DE/DT, 1LB, 1CB/S - 25man roster / 6 Taxi Squad
'17 Champ, '18 Runner Up, '23 rebuild

QB Watson, A Richardson, O' Connel (TS)
RB Gibbs, Akers, Dillon Carter, Bigsby, Chase Brown, Mcintosh, Tucker, Hull (TS)
WR Metcalf, DJ Moore, Addison, Meyers, Van Jefferson, Collins, Claypool, Mingo (TS), Hyatt (TS), Wilson (TS)
TE Higbee, Freirmuth, Otton (TS)
K Joseph
DE/DT Hunter
LB Franklin Simmons
C/S James

1.01, 1.04

Easy pass for me. I don’t think it’s good value and I’d be looking to build around Jimmy G with your QB situation. Big Ben may not be too far from retirement.
