1st Year Dynasty Rookie Draft

Looking for some feedback on how to approach my first rookie draft. I have picks 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.4, 4.1. Below are the two trades that resulted in my current roster and picks. I came in last place and so first pick is mine. Of course Barkley will go #1, I also play college fantasy and had Barkley, but curious as to what you all thought about the remainder of my picks. Should I go Guice and sure up my RB depth chart or top WR since this is a deep RB group this year and I have two early 2nd's?

I gave: P. Perkins, W. Snead, M. Wallace and my 5th rounder
I received: 2nd rounder (2.4)

I gave: R. Matthews, T. Cohen, and my 3rd rounder
I received: 1st rounder (1.2)

Agreed that it's too early to tell but if you plan on drafting a WR maybe trade back if possible

Right now it looks like

1. Barkley (that won’t change)
2. Guice
3. Sutton

As the consensus top 3 guys. As others mentioned landing spots will have a lot to do with it.

Bravo to you sir on that 1.02 trade. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Watch the combine. Watch this forum. Watch who goes to what team. Most importantly have fun!

Definitely too early to tell, but if I was you I would try to see if the 1.02 can net you an upgrade at RB/WR. See if you can move AJayi + 1.02 for a stud...you won't miss Ajayi at all but you can sell him as having value to your league mates and get a nice upgrade when coupled with that pick.

Please tell me the team that gave you their 1st for that package did it at the beginning of the season and they have OBJ, DJ, ARob and Luck.

Wow. That second trade ending up the 1.2 was an absolute steal. Lol, I have to agree with M-Dub that the only way that trade makes a lick of sense is if he was extremely confident it was going to be the 1.11 or 1.12 and had horrid luck

Take Barkley the 1.1, can't tell yet for sure who the 1.2 will for sure be. See what happens at the combine and the NFL draft. Could very likely be Chubb. If no one is truly sticking out to you, which there may be a "pick whoever" tier at picks 2-4 like there was last year 3-5, trade back a little and get some value with that 1.2 where you could take a WR. Getting 1.4 and 1.9 sort of thing for the 1.2 (assuming there's still a top RB at 1.4 with how the draft plays out) would be great for you then you could grab the #1 or 2 WR with the added first.

Good looking team you have there for finishing last place. A good rookie draft and you very well could be a dark horse for next year

We had a guy in my league, reining multi year winner, that lost OBJ, DJ, and Rodgers. Almost feel bad for him, but it let someone else finally win. He finished 4th this year thanks in large part to me trading him Keenan Allen, Mixon, and a late (1.10 now) first for OBJ around week 4. Could be a changing of the guard now if DJ doesn't come back and be a top 3 fantasy RB with the Cardinals losing everyone. He had studs at every position, but lacked depth.

I guess I’m confused how your team earned pick 1? Kamara,K Allen an some solid IDP guys shoulda been good for a couple wins. In a 12 team league I know there have to be teams a lot worse then yours.

Trying to predict this right now is impossible. So many things will change from now until the rookie draft. Just sit back and let your picks gain ridiculous value
