Nick Foles next year value?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

In a 1QB league I don't think you'll be able to grab a 4th for him. Hes basically a handcuff and will be useless unless Wentz goes down again.

Agree with above, no value in a 1QB league.

I would say in a larger league (16+ league), he may have some value, especially to the Wentz owner if that owner is hurting for a solid backup. Certainly isn’t a sure thing that Wentz will be ready to start next season, so Foles (assuming he is in Philly next year), could have some short term appeal pending Wentz’s status.

In a superflex or 2QB league, he certainly has some value (how much value will depend on the league).

In a 12 team start 1QB...value is probably close to zero unless you have gigantic roster spots.

Even as a Wentz owner in a 1QB league I’m not paying anything for Foles. If he’s free on the waiver wire then I’ll take him but I refuse to pay. There are free options on the waiver wire I’d rather have than pay for Foles.

Yeah, value is nothing in 1QB. Also, PHI has him under contract at 5.5M/year through 2020. After seeing Wentz go down, assuming Foles does well, he's much more valuable as a backup unless they can sell him off Garoppolo-style.

Disagree with everyone above.
He's a hold. For two reasons:

1. Let's see how he finishes. If he leads the Eagles deep (Super Bowl), a lot of things can happen. (Trade)
2. Wentz suffered his injury late. It's not a given at all that he is good to go to start the season. He could be fine - he could start the season on PUP.

If Foles finishes just as strong and is the starter at the start of next season for 6 games... the Wentz owners will change their tunes quickly. That's when you can strike for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. No one knows how this will play out. Ask all the Andrew Luck owners. See all the RG3 owners from years ago. The timing is not now for Foles, but this story has a long way to play out.

This is why i am holding him. He could have a good bit of value next year depending on Wentz's rehab schedule. I dont think its a foregone conclusion he is ready by week 1 next year and honestly wouldnt surprise me if missed at least a few weeks of the season. Its a stretch yes but so is a lot of the other waiver fodder out there right now.

As an Andrew Luck owner, I can assure you that none of the other QBs on the Colts have any value to me. Same goes for an owner of Wentz. Foles is nothing more than a Brian Hoyer...good enough to fill in, never a good weekly bet and no long term value.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Everybody has an opinion. To say he wouldn’t have value if he were starting half the season next year is stupid. He would have value to me for sure. Don’t think anybody is saying he turns in to a trade for a 1st but there is enough that could happen where he could be useful. To each their own though.

Minimal. Just depends on your situation. Any playing QB has value, but I don't really see him fetching any kind of trade value in a 1 QB start league TBH.
