How to use my 4 1st's?

Postby mlynarcm » Fri Dec 15, 2017 7:26 am

For the team in my signature. I'm pretty good at both QB and WR, making my only needs RBs and TE. Which gives me so many options to choose from. The first two picks are obviously Barkley and Guice to strengthen my RB's But do I use all 4 picks to get 3-4 RBs or use the later picks to trade for a 3rd RB or do I use the picks to go after a TE like Gronk?

I feel like any way I go I'll have a strong team, but the right decision good bring multiple championships over the next few years. I'd like to see what other people would do if they were in my shoes.

Plain and simple take the best player available at each pick. Right now Barkley and Gruice are locks pretty much at 1 and 2, with the other two I'd look to either target a player at 4/5 and package them to move up or simple take both picks.

I would go RB on 3 of them the firs 2 i obvious, and maybe try get a Te for the last with maybe wih your second round.

but wait until the draft, your pick has more value and your know what Ebron situation is, he could end up being enough in the right situatioin

It sounds like two of those picks are the 1.01 and 1.02, in which case I agree with taking the two best players. Depending on where the other two picks land, I'd either package them to trade up or package them for a stud.

Yes. I have the 1.01, 1.02, 1.07, 1.08. I almost had 4 in the top 6, but two teams kept winning at the ebd of the year and barely squeaked into the playoffs. Both lost first round.

Wow, that's sitting pretty. Unless you get an absurd offer, hold until it's draft time. The hype on these top guys, especially at the 1.01 and 1.02, will just keep their value rising. With the way talk on Barkley is going, I probably wouldn't move that 1.01 unless I got offered late-1st-round startup value.

The two later ones I would hold onto a little less tightly, but would still be aiming to sell them while on the clock for established talent.

I would take the best player available with any pick that’s on the clock. That’s how I ended up with 7 RBs last season lol. But i was set at WR and others weren’t so WRs got drafted early and often and that left me with a ton of available RBs.

If you can package 1.07 and 1.08 for a stud I’d do it. Gronk/Kelce owners might be willing to hear offers.

Whatever you do, wait until closer to the draft to make moves. Rookie fever is always running hotter the closer you get.

With that team, I would personally go Barkley, then Sutton. With the last two picks in the rd, either package for a known commodity at RB (I traded two late firsts for Jordan Howard in my league) or just draft two RB's. This draft is loaded at RB, so there will be plenty in the first rd.

Take Barkley and Guice. Trade the later two, or at least one of them, for TE help. Chances are a rookie TE you draft won't contribute right away. You could also package one of them and Crabtree for a younger WR in case Davis doesn't pan out (no guarantees).

Hold till the draft. I think i''d look at packing one of your later firsts with one of your wrs for a stud at either wr or rb(probably rb).

Too early for this.

Take a coupe RBs and trade the others if you aren't in love with a qb. Personally I like darnald a lot.
