I made playoff push trades and lost, how much did I hurt my 18 and beyond?

Trade 1 was a late 1st (7-10) for Mark Ingram

Trade 2 was Devontae Booker, late 18 2nd, my 19 2nd which should be late for Lamar Miller

These guys both have rookie runningbacks coming for their job, but I think they'll still be ok for 2018 and maybe 2019. My Runningbacks were so week I had 3 flex guys at best going every week and I was sick of it. Of course, after going 6-1 to make playoffs my team falls on their face and I need Pats D and Landry to outscore Tom Brady by 40 tonight to win.....so I'm out

I have my own 1st still which will be pick 5 or 6 to do something with. but then just a 3rd and a 5th

2018 lineup is looking like
Russell Wilson
Dalvin Cook, Mark Ingram, Lamar Miller
OBJ, Evans, Landy
Rudolph or Hunter Henry

I don't think they were the worst playoff push trades, not like I took on AP or Lynch, but really wish I had that other 1st or some 2nds as the rest of my team is so young and now I have two RBs past the midpoint of their career

You're fine man. Dont worry until they actually start to lose their jobs. Ingram was still extremely productive with Kamara going off and Lamar will still get a majority of the workload

Agreed. If nothing else they should hold trade value and you can flip them for younger pieces in the offseason. No harm done

I like the Miller trade more than the Ingram one simply because you gave up pieces of much less value and obtained the RB with a lesser threat for his workload. That said, I still like both deals well enough that you should get plenty of run out of both at good prices.

You’re fine. I am a fan of Ingram and think that he’s worth what you paid. You got a deal on Miller but I’m not sold on Miller being the work horse there for much longer. But all in all you’re fine. You could always try to move Miller and try to get a good piece to build with but I think you’re fine and these trades don’t hurt your future

lol i thought you were gonna say you traded away all picks and have all these old dudes. you are fine mark ingram just had a top 10 season, easily worth a 1st in the 7-10 range and miller should still have a role but i would try to lock up foreman as well while hes hurt and can e had for cheaper than usual.

Our trading is now done until sometime after the superbowl, but that's a good point for him. I'll see what the owner wants (probably too much) or see if he'll pay more for Miller than what I paid to acquire him

Both trades are good.. hell the Miller trade you should have asked the guy out for a second date if he was giving it away like that.
