Just made a blockbuster

12 team ppr. Finished the season 7-6 for the 1.07 after doing a mini rebuild.


Made some trades through the season and acquired 2 19 1sts from contenders. Both of the teams are stacked and finished 13-0 and 10-3. I predicted those 2 firsts to be 1.11 and 1.12 next year. One guy has Bell, Gurley, Kamari and Nuk. Other has Freeman, Gordon, Fournette, Evans, Watkins, Fitz, Gronk+Engram. I traded those two late 1sts along with my own 1st for 2019 + the 1.07 for the 2018 1.01. 4 1sts are a ton to give for anyone but feel like all 3 1sts in 2019 would be late if I added Barkley. Everyone knew the 1sts would be late and have had trouble shopping them since a late 1st doesn't grab much attention when we're talking studs. I feel like I overpaid but also think that adding Barkley+Arob and maybe a starting DHenry to my team next year makes me a contender for years to come with such a young core of studs. Feels like I bought a crisp $1 bill for four shiny quarters but wanted to know others Thoughts?

Yeah iv offered all 4 of them for some studs but couldn't find any takers. Not 100% sold on keeping Barkley but figured the value would be higher closer to the draft and could easily sell the pick for studs instead of late 1sts.

I'm a newbie and that seems steep to me but this is my first year in dynasty so maybe I'm really under estimating draft pick values...or over valuing late to mid 1st. I personally would think 4 first round picks would be a better deal but like I said I'm new

Every year is different and everyone's team situation is different but generally the cream rises to the top in drafts. 2 years ago it was Zeke and everyone else. So the 1.01 was super valuable that year. Last year there were 5 or 6 excellent players so the 1.01 wasn't quite as valuable. This next draft seems to have most people believing that Saquon Barkley is in a league of his own so the 1.01 is again worth more. There's still a lot of time for things to happen and you should do your own research on players but again generally the higher the pick the more valuable. All I can say is it would take a lot to pry the 1.01 out of my hands this year.

I voted 1.01... but with that said I think it's a slight over pay. Strange I like both side. If you are competing 1.01 is better... if you are rebuilding I like the package. Those late picks could easily be Hunt Kamara M.Thomas and ???? or they could all be duds. I wouldn't have traded that much for it but at the same time I prob woulnd't trade it away for that either.

I don't think liking both sides here is strange at all; that's the very definition of a good trade. I picked up Kamara in the second this year in one league, and last year picked up Michael Thomas with 1.11. You just never know with draft picks. I say good trade for you as long as Barkley stays healthy. Also, come draft time, somebody could offer you a fortune for the pick.
