rbs to target for 2018

Postby sloth8u » Tue Dec 05, 2017 8:10 am

i have 2 late 2018 1st's....and want two rb's....who would you offer them for today with the future in mind? im not winning this year, but strong next year assuming health. wr's will be obj, ajg, hilton, dt...and then the likes of lee, edelman, golladay, etc..... i need rb.....who ya buying with late 1st's? i currently have an offer of 9-12 for hyde out...with no response. i think its a solid offer for a guy drafting 1.2. also have an offer of 7-12 out for mccoy, and think thats being generous to be honest.

I would wait until the draft. the picks will just gain value. I also would not to targeting either of those RBs. Hyde may not be in SF and McCoy has some miles on him and you are looking for next year. Be patient.

Hyde, McCoy, Miller, Ingram. If you can get any of those guys for a late 1st, you should jump on it.

This draft class is deep, there will be several backs that make an instant impact. I expect all of the respective teams for the backs you listed to draft a RB or have another RB as their lead with the exception of Miller. I don't think Houston will prioritize a RB given Foreman is a solid back but his injury all but locks up Miller as the lead back all year next year.

I expect Kamara will take the lead role compared to the complimentary role he played.
49ers could take a RB as early as Barkley if not, they will draft someone
Bills need to draft a RB considering the lack of depth at the position, there are several day two/three picks that could push an older McCoy.

I'm holding until the draft and then looking to make moves. First you never know who could be a surprise cut, where a rb is drafted, etc. Let the off season sort of shake out then look to add or make a move, and you may be able to move up in the draft with some of your picks also.

With the depth of this rookie RB class and a few big name FA's, I wouldn't target any of the tier 3-4 RBs via trade right now using rookie picks unless the value was too much to pass up.

I think there's too much risk in them being Zac Stacy/Tre Mason'd (RBs owners were valuing as late 1sts because they were good enough to produce until someone with difference making talent came along)

You should try and grab Crowell/2nd for one of those 1st's if you want a RB. You're gambling a bit since we don't know where he'll end up. But if he lands in a solid spot, you might have a low end RB1 on your hands. The talent is there.
