Rookie WR heist

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Rookie WR heist

Postby Rtreilly81 » Wed Nov 22, 2017 1:42 pm

Thoughts on two trades that will net me Chad Williams and Taywan Taylor for Gabbert and Palmer.

First trade:
Give Gabbert and Palmer
Get Taylor and a late third

Second trade:
Give late third
Get Chad Williams

I like it. Those guys may never end up doing anything, but you're not giving up anything.

I'm not really sure this is a heist lol but if you like those guys, go for it. Seeing as this is a superflex...I would definitely be looking to vastly improve your QB situation and the rest of your roster considering how young/inexperienced your team is. Unfortunately you do not really have any players of significant value outside of Mixon & Henry. Booker, Drake & Jimmy could pan out, but looks like you should start making some moves to improve the team unless the goal is to go for top overall pick a couple years in a row. I personally don't see the value in trading the 3rd for another inexperienced rookie unless your time frame for competing is 3-5+ years away lol.

I’m currently looking at the 1.02/2.02/2.08/2.14/3.02 as picks for next year and just got the 2.16 and 2.05 picks in this years rookie draft for essentially nothing seeing as Palmer is in all likelihood retiring and Gabbert is a perineal backup

Sounds like you have some nice picks coming up. Hopefully you can nail those picks and if you are worried you won't be able to, it never hurts to trade those picks for a more experienced player.
