Russel Wilson or Aaron Rodgers for 2018 and beyond?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Russel Wilson or Aaron Rodgers for 2018 and beyond?

Postby hockeyBjj » Wed Nov 22, 2017 8:39 am

To a non contender, would you rather have Russel Wilson or Aaron Rodgers for the 2018 season and ensuing ones?

Greenbay is a dumpster fire without him, but Rodgers still manages to be an elite scoring fantasy qb every year and a broken collar bone isn't an injury I'm worried about long term health on.

Would Rodgers side have to add and if so how much? 10 team 1qb league, Russ going to contender missing both Rodgers and Watson and starting Matt Stafford right now

Seattle doesn't seem to care about protecting Wilson. If that mobility ever declines (age or injury), you'd certainly want Rodgers over him.

Their value should be similar. I prefer Wilson but figure I’m probably in the minority. I wouldn’t expect anything added to Rodgers unless they are desperate for help this year.

I think it's still Rodgers, but it's pretty close now.

I prefer Russ. He's doing it with little to no help, so you would assume that they draft to help him this year. He's 6 years younger than rodgers, and has no injury history.

Rodgers. But I wouldn't fault anyone for saying Wilson.

I would prefer Wilson due to Age and his scoring abilities are very comparable to Rodgers (he's the #1 scoring QB for a reason). Rodgers isn't getting any younger at this point and you would expect to start seeing his abilities decline earlier than Wilson's running abilities will go away. Wilson also always seems to turn it on right when it matters most, which is around the playoffs/down the stretch. If this contender wanted Wilson for Rodgers I would be making them add to get him. No way would I do that straight up right now especially considering you have the leverage.
