12 tm PPR, 6 pts for passing TDs...my team is stacked, and I am a lock to finish with the best record, most pts, etc:

I own my 1st plus another team's 1st that is playoff bound for certain, so his pick is at least 1.07-1.12. A team offered me Brady straight up for that team's 1st. I countered with my 1st and it was declined. So do I do the deal and pretty much guarantee myself the 'ship (and the $2500 prize money) or can I win with Ryan/Rivers? At 6 pts for passing TD, I think adding Brady is a big lift for me but wanted some opinions....thanks

It's a bit steep, but pay the man. A late 1st for Brady and a championship isn't egregious.

For a chance at $2,500 I would have a hard time saying no despite the steep price. See if he has anything else that can maybe help upgrade your team that is a small ask on top of Brady (K, Def, etc.). Kickers & defenses can make a big difference from week to week and are often undervalued.

I went ahead and made the deal. Figured a pick from 1.07-1.12 was worth elite production from Brady in a 6 pts per TD league, especially since I still have my own 1st.

It's funny how often this topic has come up in the past few weeks. Consensus has been a 2nd+something is fair, and a late 1st isn't unreasonable either if it's going to make you a champion, so I think you did fine.
