Trading away Bell on a competing team?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trading away Bell on a competing team?

Postby albedo1986 » Tue Nov 21, 2017 3:18 pm

Curious what the community would think about this. I love Bell, but I'm always looking to capitalize on value wherever I can get it. What would you be looking for to trade Bell away to the top competitor in your league? Currently I have the second strongest team in a full PPR, 1QB/2RB/3WR/2Flex/1TE/1DST. He is the first.

Deals I'm considering offering:

Bell for Hopkins
Bell for Mike Thomas
Bell for D Adams + a first (likely 1.12)
Bell for Kamara + Adams
Bell/Gronk for Kamara + Kelce + Luck

Just some ideas, we both have pretty good pieces to move. Would you just say nah and make the run or make a move to get a bit of value?

Thanks in advance!

You don't sell Bell on a contender. He's the definition of a game changer.

Agreed. You can't give away the best redraft player to another contender if you want to win this year. Play to win this year and trade in the offseason.

I'm ok with trading him for Hopkins or Thomas depending on scoring and roster construction.

I too believe in considering all options but I don't see a trade here anywhere close to Bell's value. I guess the last one with Luck in it maybe...if he comes back 100% healthy.

IMO Hopkins is the only one that's close and if you have a chance to win the chip this year it's not a trade you make. The rest you're just trading away an elite piece for players who are a year away from possibly reaching the same value.

I don't think any of those suggested "Bell for..." options are getting close to full value of him...Hopkins plus a lesser RB, would give thought to

I don't like any of those. Keep him and go for it all.
